Claims (4)

  1. 적어도 35바아의 초대기압과 불활성의 산화된 탄화수소 용매중에서 코발트 함유 화합물을 포함하는 촉매중에서 수소, 일산화탄소와 포름알데히드의 혼합물을 반응하여 에틸렌 글리콜을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 촉매 촉진제로에 주석 함유 화합물 또는 게르마늄 함유 화합물 존재하에 반응이 실시되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에틸렌 에틸렌 글리콜의 제조방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 반응 혼합물이 50-300℃에서 가열되고, 압력이 70-350바아인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 코발트 함유 화합물이 1이상의 코발트 산화물, 무기산의 코발트염, 유기카르복실산의 코발트염, 또는 코발트 카르보닐 또는 하이드로카르보닐 유도체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로하는 방법.
  4. 제1항 내지 3항중 어느하나에 있어서, 코발트 함유 혼합물 및 촉진제가 예비형성된 복합체로서 이용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
