The ceramic piezoelec. material was particularly suitable for electromech. resonatons and filters and was defined by v.PbTiO3 + w.Pb (Zn0.33Nb0.67)O3 where v = 0.3-0.5, w=0.01-0.25 x=0.045-0.135, y = 0.01-0.12, z = 0.25-0.45, and v+w+x+y = 1. The materials have values for the mech. quality factor and the temp. dependence of the resonant frequency which were more suitable for resonators and filters than previous materials.
