Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a ventilation device and a control method thereof.
In general, the air in a closed space gradually changes to carbon dioxide over time and at the same time becomes polluted, inhibiting the respiration of living things. Therefore, ventilation should be provided for places where many people stay in a confined space, such as an office or a vehicle. In this case, a ventilation device can be used in general.
The ventilation device may be provided to supply the outside air to the room while maintaining the room temperature and to exhaust the indoor air to the outside.
In one side of the ventilation device, an inlet port for inhaling external air and an outlet port for exhausting indoor air may be formed. In addition, on the other side of the ventilation device, an outlet through which sucked external air can be supplied into the room and an inlet through which indoor air can be sucked may be formed.
Air sucked from the outside and air discharged from the room may have a temperature difference. Using this, the ventilation device may include a total heat exchanger that performs heat exchange between air sucked from the outside and air discharged from the room. The total heat exchanger may be installed in the center of the ventilation device.
The total heat exchanger may perform heat exchange according to a total heat exchange principle by allowing two air (air sucked from the outside and air discharged from the room) to flow through different flow paths.
Filters may be installed detachably on both sides of the total heat exchanger. The filter may perform a function of filtering foreign substances mixed in the flowing air. For example, the filter may include a pre-filter.
A prior document related to this is KR10-2008-0079054 A (“Total heat exchanger and its manufacturing method”).
Meanwhile, as the operation time of the ventilation device elapses, foreign matter may accumulate in the filter. In addition, when the amount of the deposited foreign matter increases, the performance of the filter may decrease. That is, filter clogging may occur. The filter clogging phenomenon decreases the flow efficiency of air passing through the ventilation apparatus, and thus there is a problem of lowering the ventilation efficiency of the ventilation apparatus.
Therefore, for optimal ventilation efficiency of the ventilation device, the user must clean or replace the filter when it is determined that foreign matter has accumulated on the filter by a certain level.
However, since the filter is installed inside the ventilation device, the user cannot easily check the condition of the filter with the naked eye. Therefore, there is a need for a technique for determining the condition or life of the filter.

When the pressure difference is calculated based on the atmospheric pressure, there is an advantage in that a realistic standard can be used according to environmental differences such as country, region, and altitude, rather than a uniform standard.

Information on the reference value Ps for each air volume may be previously stored in a memory.
Accordingly, in step S5, the control unit calculates the difference (“change value (?P)”) between the initial value Pi and the differential pressure value Pt detected in step S3, and then the change value (?P) becomes the change value (?P). It can be determined whether it is greater than the reference value Ps.
If the change value ?P is less than the reference value Ps, the controller may return to step S3.

For example, when the user-set air volume is a special strong wind, the step S7 may be performed at at least any two of the weak wind, medium wind, and strong wind.
