Abstract
본 발명은 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈에 관한 것으로서, 불투명 또는 반투명한 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀에 광 투과용 홀 가공을 통한 안정적인 개구율 확보, 광 투과용 홀 가공시 발생되는 션트를 제거 및 광 투과용 홀의 외측에 핑거라인을 형성함으로서 효율 저하가 방지된 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀을 모듈화하는 경우 태양전지 셀사이에 발생되는 데드존을 최소화할 수 있도록 한 데드존을 최소화한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈에 관한 것이다.
Description
본 발명은 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈에 관한 것으로서, 불투명 또는 반투명한 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀에 광 투과용 홀 가공을 통한 안정적인 개구율 확보, 광 투과용 홀 가공시 발생되는 션트를 제거 및 광 투과용 홀의 외측에 핑거라인을 형성함으로서 효율 저하가 방지된 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀을 모듈화하는 경우 태양전지 셀사이에 발생되는 데드존을 최소화할 수 있도록 한 데드존을 최소화한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 플렉시블 CIGS 박막 태양전지는 산업 전반에서 다양한 제품군으로 사용되고 있다. 일반 발전 시장에서는 가벼운 장점 및 시공의 간단한 장점을 활용하여 지붕형 태양광 발전 모듈 및 BIPV 제품군으로 활용이 되고 있으며, 커튼월과 같은 제품군으로 다양한 제품의 활용도를 높이고 있으며, 휴대용 포터블 충전 시장에도 급격히 수요가 증가하고 있다.
이러한 플렉시블 CIGS 박막 태양전지는 가볍고, 깨지지 않는 장점으로 인해서 대단위 발전 시장을 탈피하여 다양한 시도가 되고 있는데, 그 대표적인 분야가 레져용 포터블 충전 모듈, 군용 무전기 충전 모듈, 자동차 썬루프 적용 모듈, 가정용 블라인더 및 차광막, 웨어러블 충전 모듈, 드론의 자가 전원 공급용 모듈, 구글의 Free Wi-Fi 제품군, 하우스에 활용이 되면서 우리 생활속으로 깊숙이 파고들고 있다.
그러나 종래의 플렉시블 CIGS 박막 태양전지는 빛의 투과가 필요한 상기와 같은 분야에 적용할 수 없는 문제점 뿐만 아니라, 모듈화하는 경우 전력생산에 기여하지 직접적으로 기여하지 못하는 데드존(dead zone) 영역에 해당되는 태양전지 셀 외측의 영역의 발생 및 이에 의한 외관상의 디자인 룰의 한계가 발생된다는 문제점이 있다.
이와 관련된 광 투과용 홀을 형성하는 종래기술로서는 일본 공개특허공보 제2000-223727호의 '박막 태양전지와 그 제조방법'이 제안된 바 있다. 이러한 종래의 기술은 단순히 광 투과용 홀을 형성하는 공정에 집중하고 있으며, 이후 공정에서 보편적인 광 투과용 홀 형성시 발생되는 공정을 단순 세정공정으로 제품을 제조하고 있어 박막형 태양전지 셀의 효율의 안정적인 발전성능 향상에는 한계가 있다.
또한, 태양전지 셀의 공간 점유율을 높이기 위하여 테양전지 셀들의 일부를 서로 중첩배치하는 종래기술로서는 대한민국 등록특허 제10-1852606호의 "분할 태양전지 모듈"이 제안된 바 있으며, 이를 도1을 참조하여 설명하면 다음과 같다.
이러한, 종래의 기술은 종래에는 기존의 태양전지셀의 가장자리 측 일부분을 서로 중첩되게 배치하여 점유율을 높일 수 있도록 한 구조가 하측에 위치하는 태양전지셀의 전면에 형성된 버스바 전극, 인터커넥션 리본, 상측에 위치하는 태양전지셀의 후면에 형성된 버스바 전극의 두께에 의해 중첩된 부분에 비교적 큰 간극이 발생하므로 충격이나 압력 등의 외력이 작용시 태양전지셀이 쉽게 파손되거나 크랙이 발생하는 문제의 해결 및 전면 및 후면 버스바 전극이 접하도록 가압할 때, 전면과 후면 버스바 전극 사이의 도전성 페이스트가 유출되면서 하측 태양전지셀의 후면 및 상측 태양전지셀의 상면으로까지 번져 해당 태양전지셀이 단락되는 문제를 해결하기 위한 것으로, 분할 태양전지 모듈(1)은 전면에 복수의 핑거 전극(11)이 형성되고, 일 측 가장자리 전면에는 핑거전극을 연결하기 위한 전면 버스바 전극(13)이 형성되며, 전면 버스바 전극(13)과 대향되는 타 측 가장자리 후면에는 후면 버스바 전극(15)이 형성되고, 전면 버스바 전극(13)의 연장 방향과 직교하는 방향을 따라 복수가 서로 인접되게 배치되는 분할전지셀(10)과; 일 측 분할전지셀(10)의 전면 버스바 전극(13)과 타측 분할전지셀의 후면 버스바 전극(15)을 연결하기 위해 전면 버스바 전극(13)과 후면 버스바 전극(15) 사이에 도포되고, 전도성을 갖는 접착부(20)와; 전면 버스바 전극(13)과 후면 버스바 전극(15)을 연결시, 전면 버스바 전극(13) 주변 또는 후면 버스바 전극(15) 주변으로 접착부(20)가 유출되는 것을 방지하는 단락방지뱅크(30);를 구비하고 있다.
그러나, 이러한 단순히 태양전지 셀의 공간 점유율을 높이기 위하여 태양전지 셀들의 일부를 서로 중첩 배치하는 경우 전극간 단락현상을 방지하기 위한 것에 그치고 있는 실정이다.
상기와 같은 종래 기술의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 안출된 본 발명은 불투명 또는 반투명한 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀에 빛이 투과할 수 있도록 광 투과용 홀을 가공하여 안정적인 개구율을 얻을 수 있는 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈을 확보하는 것에 그 목적이 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 광 투과형 홀의 가공시 발생되는 션트 제거 및 광 투과용 홀의 외측에 핑거라인을 형성함으로써 효율 저하가 방지된 광 투과형 플렉시블 태양전지 모듈을 확보하는 것에 또 따른 목적이 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀을 모듈화하는 경우 태양전지 셀사이에 발생되는 데드존을 최소화된 모듈을 확보하는 것에 또 다른 목적이 있다.
본 발명의 상기 목적은 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈에 있어서, 기판, 후면 전극층, 흡수층, 버퍼층 및 전면 전극층으로 이루어진 플렉시블 박막 태양전지에 광 투과용 홀을 펀칭된 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀; 상기 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀에 광 투과용 홀의 형상과 동일한 형상으로 상기 광 투과용 홀의 외측에 형성되어 서로 전기적으로 접속되는 핑거 라인; 및 상기 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀들을 전기적으로 접속하기 위하여 형성되는 그리드 라인;을 포함하며, 복수의 상기 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀은 플립 타입으로 적층 배치되어 상기 그리드 라인 부분이 접속되어 모듈화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데드존을 최소화한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈에 의해 달성된다.
따라서, 본 발명의 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈은 불투명 또는 반투명한 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀에 빛이 투과할 수 있도록 광 투과용 홀을 가공하여 안정적인 개구율을 얻을 수 있는 효과가 있다.
또한, 광 투과형 홀의 가공시 발생되는 션트 제거 및 광 투과용 홀의 외측에 핑거라인을 형성함으로써 효율 저하가 방지된 광 투과형 플렉시블 태양전지 모듈을 확보할 수 있는 또 다른 효과가 있다.
또한. 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀을 모듈화하는 경우 태양전지 셀사이에 발생되는 데드존을 최소화된 모듈을 확보할 수 있는 효과가 있다.

도 6은 본 발명의 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀을 모듈화한 경우 플립 타입으로 적층 배치 단면 예시도이다.
본 명세서 및 청구범위에 사용된 용어나 단어는 통상적이거나 사전적인 의미로 한정해서 해석되어서는 아니되며, 발명자는 그 자신의 발명을 가장 최선의 방법으로 설명하기 위해 용어의 개념을 적절하게 정의할 수 있다는 원칙에 입각하여 본 발명의 기술적 사상에 부합하는 의미와 개념으로 해석되어야만 한다.
따라서, 본 명세서에 기재된 실시예와 도면에 도시된 구성은 본 발명의 가장 바람직한 일 실시예에 불과할 뿐이고 본 발명의 기술적 사상을 모두 대변하는 것은 아니므로, 본 출원시점에 있어서 이들을 대체할 수 있는 다양한 균등물과 변형예들이 있을 수 있음을 이해하여야 한다.
이하 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 상세히 설명하기로 한다.
도 2는 본 발명의 개구율에 따라 가공된 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀의 단면 예시도이다. 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀은 플렉시블 기판(110), 후면 전극층(120), 흡수층(130), 버퍼층(140) 및 전면 전극층(150)으로 태양전지 셀(100)에 다양한 패턴의 광 투과용 홀(160)이 펀칭되어 형성된다.
여기서, 광 투과용 홀(160)은 예시적으로 개구율 10, 20 및 50%인 것을 도시하였다.
도 3은 본 발명의 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀의 제조 공정도이다. 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이 본 발명의 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀(100)은 우선 가공을 위한 원재료인 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀을 준비하는 해당 가공용 장치에 부착(S100)하여 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀에 광 투과용 홀(160)을 가공한다(S110).
여기서, 광 투과용 홀의 가공(S110)은 드릴 가공, 레이저 가공 및 펀칭 가공중 어느 하나에 의해 수행된다.
이러한 광 투과용 홀의 가공(S110)은 드릴 가공 및 레이저 가공의 경우 가공시 냉각을 하는 경우에도 발생되는 열에 의하여 션트가 발생되며, 펀칭 가공은 기계적이 가공에 의한 전면 전극층 등의 변형에 의하여 션트가 발생된다.
여기서, 광 투과용 홀 가공시의 버(burr) 발생에 대해서는 일반적인 기술적 사항이므로 구체적으로 기재하지 아니한다.
이러한, 광 투과용 홀(160)에 홀 가공(S110)으로 인하여 흡수층(130)과 버퍼층(140)에 션트가 발생하였는지 여부를 판단(S120)하고, 션트가 발생된 것으로 판단되는 경우 션트를 제거하기 위한 후가공을 실시한다(S130).
이후, 초음파 클리닝을 통하여 광 투과용 홀 가공으로 발생된 파티클을 제거(S140)함으로써 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀 제조한다.
여기서, 후가공(S130)은 로우 파워 또는 숏 펄스의 레이저에 의한 가공(S131), 메카니컬 니들 가공(S132) 및 미세 브러쉬의 브러싱(S133)중 어느 하나의 가공에 의하여 션트를 제거한다.
도 4는 본 발명의 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀의 핑거라인 및 그리드라인 형성 전후의 평면도이다.
여기서 도 4(a)는 핑거 라인(170) 또는 그리드 라인(180)이 형성되지 않고 단순히 플레시블 태양전지 셀에 광 투과용 홀(160)을 형성한 것을 도시한 것이며, 도 4(b)는 도 4(a)에 핑거 라인(170) 또는 그리드 라인(180)이 형성한 것으로서, 광 투과용 홀(160)의 형상과 동일한 형상으로 광 투과용 홀(160)의 외측에 보다 크게 형성되어 서로 전기적으로 접속되는 핑거 라인(170)과 태양전지 셀(100)들을 전기적으로 접속하기 위하여 형성되는 그리드 라인(180)이 형성된다.
여기서, 광 투과용 홀(160)의 외측에 형성되는 핑거 라인(170)은 광 투과용 홀(160)의 전면전극층(150)상의 형상을 기준으로 형성되며, 원형이면 원형의 형상으로 대응되는 형상으로 형성되는 것이 바람직하나, 그 형상에 일부의 변형은 가능함은 물론이다.
또한, 광 투과용 홀(160) 주위에 형성되는 핑거 라인(160)을 연결하는 핑거 라인의 경우 일반적인 기술적인 사항에 해당되므로 별도의 기재는 생략한다.
여기서, 본 발명의 광 투과용 홀(160) 주위에 형성하는 핑거 라인(160)의 경우 광 투과용 홀(160)의 가공을 하는 경우 일반적인 핑거 라인 또는 그리드 라인이 광 투과용 홀(160)에 의하여 가공되는 경우에는 직렬(serial) 저항이 저항이 증가함으로써 효율 저하를 방지하기 위한 것이다.
도 5는 본 발명의 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀을 모듈화한 경우 평면 예시도이다.
여기에서는 도 4(b)와 같이 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀에 핑거 라인(170) 또는 그리드 라인(180)을 형성한 후 모듈화하는 경우 각각의 셀을 플립 타입(flip type)으로 적층 배치한 평면 예시도이다.
복수의 상기 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀은 플립 타입으로 적층 배치되어 상기 그리드 라인 부분이 후면전극(120) 또는 태양전지 셀(100)의 하부에 형성되는 그리드 라인(180)과 접속되어 모듈화되도록 함으로써 데드존을 최소화 할 수 있다.
여기서, 좌측에 도시된 셀의 경우에도 그리드 라인(180)이 형성되어 있으나, 우측의 셀에 의하여 적층 배치됨으로써 평면도에서는 도시하지 아니한다.
도 5에서는 2개의 셀을 모듈화하기 위하여 플립 타입으로 적층 배치하는 경우를 도시한 것으로 좌측의 태양전지 셀(100)에서 그리드 라인(180)을 포함하는 태양전지의 발전 효율에 직접적을 기여하지 못하는 데드 존의 발생을 상부에 배치되는 우측의 태양전지 셀(100)로 방지할 수 있음으로써 보다 높은 효율을 얻을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 태양전지 셀(100)을 모듈하는 경우 태양전지 셀(100) 사이에 데드 존의 발생에 의한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈의 디자인 룰의 자유도를 한층 더 높일 수 있다.
도 6은 본 발명의 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀을 모듈화한 경우 플립 타입으로 적층 배치 단면 예시도이다.
도 6에서는 두개의 태양전지 셀(100)을 플립 타입으로 적층 배치한 단면 예시도로서, 각각의 태양전지 셀(100)의 하부에는 +극이 형성되며, 상부에는 효율 저하를 방지하기 위한 핑거 라인(170) 및 그리드 라인(180)이 형성되며, 그리드 라인(180)에는 -극이 연결된다.
여기서, 플립 타입으로 적층 배치하는 경우 하부의 태양전지 셀(100) 전면전극층(150) 및 상부의 태양양전지 셀(100) 후면전극(120) 사이에 단락(shoot)가 발생될 수 있으므로 절연부재(190)에 의하여 절연하는 것이 바람직하다.
이러한 절연은 플립 타입의 적층 배치 영역에서 그리드 라인(180) 부분을 제외한 적층 배치 영역은 쇼트 방지 테이프 부착 또는 절연물질 도포중 어느 하나 이상에 의하여 전기적인 절연물질에 의하여 절연한다.
본 발명은 이상에서 살펴본 바와 같이 바람직한 실시예를 들어 도시하고 설명하였으나, 상기한 실시예에 한정되지 아니하며 본 발명의 정신을 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 당해 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의해 다양한 변경과 수정이 가능할 것이다.

Claims (5)
- 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈에 있어서,
기판, 후면 전극층, 흡수층, 버퍼층 및 전면 전극층으로 이루어진 플렉시블 박막 태양전지에 광 투과용 홀을 펀칭된 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀;
상기 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀에 광 투과용 홀의 형상과 동일한 형상으로 상기 광 투과용 홀의 외측에 형성되어 서로 전기적으로 접속되는 핑거 라인; 및
상기 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀들을 전기적으로 접속하기 위하여 형성되는 그리드 라인;을 포함하며,
복수의 상기 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 셀은 플립 타입으로 적층 배치되어 상기 그리드 라인 부분이 접속되어 모듈화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데드존을 최소화한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광 투과용 홀의 외측에 형성되는 상기 핑거 라인은 상기 광 투과용 홀의 상기 전면전극층상의 형상을 기준으로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데드존을 최소화한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서,
플립 타입으로 적층 배치 영역에서 상기 그리드 라인 부분을 제외한 적층 배치 영역은 쇼트 방지 테이프 부착 또는 절연물질 도포중 어느 하나 이상의 절연부재에 의하여 전기적으로 절연하는 것을 특징으로 하는 데드존을 최소화한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광 투과용 홀은 드릴 가공, 레이저 가공 및 펀칭 가공중 어느 하나에 의해 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데드존을 최소화한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광 투과용 홀에 홀 가공으로 인하여 발생되는 상기 흡수층과 버퍼층에 션트를 로우 파워 또는 숏 펄스의 레이저, 메카니컬 니들 및 미세 브러쉬의 브러싱중 어느 하나의 가공에 의하여 상기 션트가 제거되도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 데드존을 최소화한 광 투과형 플렉시블 박막 태양전지 모듈.
