Abstract
Description
A flexible light emitting device and a method of manufacturing the same are provided.
A light emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that generates light by flowing current to a PN junction. Light emitting diodes have been regarded as one of the next generation light emitting devices because they have long life span and low power consumption and can reduce maintenance cost.
In recent years, a flexible and wearable industry has been developed in which the shape of a display can be freely deformed. Accordingly, a flexible light emitting device free from shape deformation has been actively developed.
However, organic light emitting diodes are susceptible to high temperatures and moisture depending on the material properties of organic materials, so stability and reliability may be lowered.
Accordingly, a light emitting device using an inorganic material having stability at high temperature and moisture has been developed. However, when a sapphire substrate or a silicon substrate is used, the substrate may be broken when the light emitting device is bent. When a flexible substrate such as a plastic substrate is used, the plastic substrate may not be in a satisfactory state because the melting point of the plastic substrate is low and it is difficult to withstand high temperatures.
In addition, when the mask layer of the light emitting device using an organic material is difficult to be formed at high temperature and the mask layer is made of silicon oxide or silicon nitride, the mask layer may be broken when the light emitting device is bent.
One embodiment of the present invention is to provide a flexible light emitting device capable of growing and growing an inorganic nano-rod on a seed layer and transferring the nano-rod onto a flexible substrate and using a mask layer including a two- .

Conventionally, since the electrode is located on the side of the thin film layer and current flows horizontally through the side surface of the thin film layer, the luminous efficiency of the light emitting device can be low.
On the other hand, in the flexible

Conventionally, since the rod structure can be located on the carbon layer, it is possible to grow the material only at the surface defects of the carbon layer, and it may be difficult to grow a desired rod structure. Also, since the carbon layer plays a role of a mask layer and an insulating layer , The surface of the carbon layer may become less reactive and it may be difficult to grow the rod structure on the carbon layer.

Conventionally, since the mask layer can be made of an organic material, silicon oxide, and silicon nitride, if the light emitting device is bent, the mask layer may be broken and a high temperature process may be difficult.
On the other hand, in the flexible
