Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electrochemical device using a lithium ion pre-doping.
In recent years, electrochemical devices such as capacitors have been used as power storage systems for clean energy by solar power, wind power generation, etc., and as main or auxiliary power sources for automobiles, hybrid electric vehicles, and the like. Here, the electric double-layer capacitor has a high output, but has a low capacity and a high capacity, but has a low output. Therefore, a lithium ion capacitor using a material capable of storing lithium ions in the negative electrode has a higher capacity than an electric double layer capacitor and has a longer life than a battery.
On the other hand, in the lithium ion capacitor, for example, as in the invention described in Patent Document 1, a process called pre-doping in which lithium ions are doped in advance to the negative electrode is required in advance, resulting in low productivity.
Thus, for example, in Patent Document 2, a technique of shortening the pre-doping time by arranging a lithium ion supply source in the gap portion of the positive electrode or the gap portion of the negative electrode in order to shorten the time for doping the negative electrode with lithium ions .
In the electrochemical device requiring the lithium ion pre-doping as described above, when metal lithium is adhered to the current collector of the negative electrode and the lithium ion is doped, if the density of the active material of the electrode layer formed on the front and back surfaces of the current collector is about the same The pre-doping time can not be shortened.
In view of the above, it is an object of the present invention to provide an electrochemical device capable of shortening the time for pre-doping lithium ions to the negative electrode.
According to an aspect of the present invention, an electrochemical device includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and an electrolyte solution.
The positive electrode has a positive electrode current collector including a conductive material and a positive electrode active material layer formed on the positive electrode current collector.
Wherein the negative electrode comprises a negative electrode collector having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite to the first major surface, a first negative electrode active material layer formed on the first major surface, and a second negative electrode active material layer intermittently formed on the second major surface, And a second negative electrode active material layer having a lower density of the negative electrode active material than the first negative electrode active material layer.
The separator insulates the positive electrode from the negative electrode.
The electric liquid immerses the positive electrode, the negative electrode and the separator.
The electrochemical device is characterized in that metal lithium is electrically connected to the second main surface on which the second negative electrode active material layer is not formed and is immersed in the electrolyte solution so that the first and second negative electrode active material layers are pre- .
According to this structure, the negative electrode of the electrochemical device is formed with the second negative electrode active material layer having a lower density of the negative electrode active material than the first negative electrode active material layer. As a result, in the second negative electrode active material layer, the gap between the adjacent negative electrode active materials can be satisfactorily secured, and the lithium ion can be easily attracted. Therefore, in the manufacturing process of the electrochemical device, since the doping efficiency of lithium ions is improved, the time for pre-doping lithium ions to the negative electrode can be shortened.
The density of the negative electrode active material in the second negative electrode active material layer may be lower than that of the first negative electrode active material layer by 10% or more.
The second negative electrode active material layer may be thicker than the first negative electrode active material layer.
The second negative electrode active material layer may be 5% or more thicker than the first negative electrode active material layer.
The negative electrode current collector may include copper.
Copper is thin, but it is suitable for the material of the negative electrode collector because it has strength and high flexibility. By pressurizing copper and metal lithium, the electrolytic solution penetrates into the pressed interface to inhibit the melting of metal lithium from the interface side. As a result, conduction between the negative electrode current collector and the metallic lithium is maintained, and the metallic lithium is appropriately melted.
The negative electrode current collector may have a plurality of through holes.
By forming the through holes in the negative electrode current collector, it is possible to further improve the efficiency of the lithium ion pre-doping with respect to the negative electrode.
The positive electrode and the negative electrode may be laminated via the separator and wound.
In the present invention, even when the electrochemical device is a wound-type electrochemical device in which the positive electrode and the negative electrode are laminated and wound with the separator interposed therebetween, the pre-doping time can be shortened. In particular, a wound-type electrochemical device has a smaller surplus space in the case as compared with the stacked electrochemical device, and thus can be made compact.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide an electrochemical device capable of shortening the time for pre-doping lithium ions to the negative electrode.

Subsequently, the metallic lithium M is electrically connected to the first
The second negative electrode
As a result, in the second negative electrode
The
