More particularly, in the steering column of an automobile, even when the upper shaft, the lower shaft, the intermediate shaft, the outer tube and the inner tube are not coaxially coupled, the intermediate shaft is pivotally moved at a predetermined angle with respect to the elastic support The present invention relates to a steering column of an automobile which absorbs an error to reduce a deviation of a transmitted torque and prevents noise.
BACKGROUND ART [0002] Generally, a steering apparatus of a vehicle is a device that allows a driver to freely change the traveling direction of a car by turning a steering wheel, and is capable of arbitrarily changing a turning center of a front wheel of a car to advance the car in a desired direction It is a supporting device.
A power steering system is used as an auxiliary power mechanism in order to relieve the driver's power in such a steering apparatus. The power steering system mainly employs the power of the engine to operate the hydraulic pump, A hydraulic power assist steering device using an electric motor, and an electric power assist steering device using an electric motor.
The hydraulic power assist steering device detects the rotation of the steering wheel, receives the rotational force from the engine, operates the hydraulic pump, and sends the hydraulic pressure to a drive unit such as a cylinder configured on the rack bar or the steering shaft to assist the driver in steering effort.
The electric power assist steering device has a structure that detects the rotation of the steering wheel and is installed on a rack or a steering shaft so as to operate a motor that facilitates rotational motion so that the steering device operates smoothly. (R-EPS) and steering shaft drive type (C-EPS).
Hereinafter, the electric power assist steering apparatus will be described.
