Abstract
An extinguishing device is disclosed. The fire extinguishing system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a spraying unit that receives seawater from a ballast pump mounted on a ship and ejects the seawater into a space in which a fire occurs; And an auxiliary pump installed on a connection line connecting the ballast pump and the jetting unit, for boosting the seawater discharged from the ballast pump.
Description
The present invention relates to an extinguishing device.
Ship or offshore structures are equipped with rescue equipment for the safety of life in the event of a marine accident, fire extinguishing equipment for fire extinguishing and other disaster prevention facilities.
Conventionally, fire extinguishing systems in which fire is suppressed by using carbon dioxide, foam, and water are used. In the case of fire extinguishing systems using carbon dioxide and foam, a separate space for storing carbon dioxide and foam may be required, and safety accidents due to leakage of carbon dioxide and foam may occur.
When water is used, there is a problem that installation and maintenance costs increase because an expensive high-pressure pump is used.
An embodiment of the present invention seeks to provide an extinguishing system having a reduced installation and maintenance cost.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a ballast pump mounted on a hull; A spraying unit for receiving seawater from the ballast pump and spraying the seawater into a space in which a fire occurs; And an auxiliary pump installed on a connecting line connecting the ballast pump and the jetting unit and boosting the seawater discharged from the ballast pump.
The fire extinguishing device includes a fire detection sensor disposed in the object space; And a control unit for receiving a fire detection signal from the fire detection sensor and operating the ballast pump and the auxiliary pump.
The fire extinguishing apparatus may further include a control unit for operating the auxiliary pump when the water pressure of the input unit of the auxiliary pump reaches the set pressure, and stopping the operation of the auxiliary pump when the water pressure is lower than the set pressure.
A hydraulic pressure sensor is installed in an input portion of the auxiliary pump, and the controller receives the sensed value of the hydraulic pressure sensor and compares the sensed value with the set pressure.
The connection line may be branched at a ballast line connecting the ballast pump and the ballast tank formed in the hull.
Wherein a first valve is provided downstream of the connection line of the ballast line, a second valve is provided on the connection line, the first valve closes when a fire occurs, Can be opened.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, when a ballast pump and an auxiliary pump installed in the hull are used, an expensive high-pressure pump is not required, and installation and maintenance costs can be reduced.
