Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to an apparatus for use in the manufacture of thick plates, and more particularly to a cooling device for effectively controlling the interlayer temperature to an appropriate level in the multilayer welding of thick plates.
Steels that make up ships or steel structures are joined together by means of welding, bolts, etc., depending on their location and use.
Welding means the joining of two or more objects or materials to be joined in a molten or semi-melt state, and the filler material (welding rod) is put therein (Fusion: Fusion Welding), or the joint is heated to a suitable temperature or Pressure welding in a cold state (Pressure welding), or melting the metal with a lower melting point than the base metal without melting the entire base material, and joining it with suction force by surface tension between the joints (Soldering: Brazing & Soldering).
In general, when two welded steels are melt welded to form a welded joint, the steel is exposed to high temperature for a predetermined time by the welding heat source. In terms of metallography, such high temperature exposed sites tend to coarse grains, and may cause phase transformation into tissues with poor toughness upon cooling, which may result in deterioration of quality characteristics compared to the base metal. Therefore, overcoming the grain coarsening of the weld heat affected zone and improving the weld properties have been one of the major challenges in the steel fabrication and welding processing industry.
Conventionally known as a means to solve this problem, there was a method of suppressing grain growth by reducing the exposure time at high temperature through a low heat input multilayer welding construction.
Recently, efforts have been made to suppress the grain coarsening of the weld heat affected zones by means of localized weld joint formation and the increase in cooling rate by applying a high density heat source such as a laser or an electron beam. Expensive equipment is required to do so, and there are many limitations in widespread commercialization.
On the other hand, the interlayer temperature during the multilayer welding of the thick plate refers to the temperature of the welded base material warmed by the welding heat of the pass just before generating an arc during the multilayer welding. When the interlayer temperature exceeds 200 ° C, the strength and impact value of the welded portion may be lowered due to excessive heat input, and in the stainless steel, the intergranular corrosion resistance of the welded portion may be lowered. It is essential.
Normally the interlaminar temperature of the weld is given at the maximum, but must be kept together with the minimum preheating temperature, which applies equally to weld welding, repair welding and gouging.
This high strength steel must be set as low as possible between passes. If the inter-pass temperature is set to 200 ° C. or less, there is little fear that weld degradation will occur even with high strength steel.
Short weld seams are inefficient to wait for natural cooling to cool below the pass-by-pass temperature, so in the case of on-site welding, alternate welding with surrounding welds may be used. In particular, when the multi-layer welding to the ultra-thick plate in the summer of high temperature, a considerable time is required to meet the upper limit of the

According to the cooling device for controlling the interlayer temperature of the thick plate according to the present invention, in order to solve the problem that a considerable time is required to meet the upper limit of the interlayer temperature as the number of welding pads and the number of welded layers increases during the multilayer welding of the thick plate, the upper plate of the welded base material Sprays liquid alcohol. In order to prevent deterioration of welds during multilayer welding of ultra thick plates, compliance with interlayer temperatures is essential. In multi-layer welding, the interlaminar temperature of the thick plate is measured using a temperature chalk or a pyrometer while maintaining the upper limit of the interpass temperature. In particular, in the case of a high strength ultra-thick plate material, it takes a considerable time to maintain the interlayer temperature as the number of weld passes and weld layers increases. In particular, in the summer when the temperature is high, more time is required, and the productivity of the plate manufacturing process is lowered.
Accordingly, the present invention, by welding the refrigerant through a nozzle at a predetermined position of the weld bead edge to the upper plate of the weld base material during the multi-layer welding of the thick plate, shortening the cooling time of the weld metal of the previous pass for the subsequent pass welding A cooling device is proposed that reduces time and improves the productivity of welding.
