발명의 배경

폴리에테르-변성(modified) 실록산들은 올레핀적으로 변성된 (즉, 비닐, 알릴 또는 메탈릴) 폴리알킬렌옥사이드를 본 발명의 트리실록산의 하이드라이드(SiH) 중간물(intermediate)에 그라프트하기 위하여 하이드로실릴화 반응을 사용하여 간단하게(straightforwardly) 제조된다.

적합한 화학농약 조성물들은, 예를 들어, 하나 또는 그보다 많은 상기 성분 들을 본 발명의 유기변성 실릴화 계면활성제와, 탱크-믹스로서 또는 "인-캔(In-can)" 포뮬레이션으로서, 혼합하는 것과 같은, 이 분야에 공지된 방식으로 결합함(combining)으로써 만들어진다. B. 코팅들

하나의 실리콘 상을 포함하여 구성되는 비-수성 에멀젼들은, 본 명세서의 참고문헌을 이루는, 미국 특허 제6,060,546호 및 미국 특허 제6,271,295호에 기술되어 있다.

실험
본 발명의 유기변성 실릴화 계면활성제 조성물들을 위한 하이드라이드 중간물들(hydride intermediates)을, 비교를 위한 조성물들과 함께 다음의 실시예들에 기술된 바와 같이 제조하였다.
제조 실시예 1
(트리메틸실릴메틸)다이메틸실란 (도 1, 구조 1).
트리메틸클로로메틸실란 (TMCMS)의 그리냐르 시약(Grignard reagent)을 THF (50 mL)에서 2.88 g (0.12 mol)의 마그네슘 칩들(chips)과 12.3 g (0.1 mol)의 TMCMS의 반응에 의해 제조하였다. 그 다음에 그리냐르 시약을 THF (50 mL)에 용해된, 9.46 g (0.1 mol)의 다이메틸클로로실란 (DMCS)에 방울지게 첨가하였다. 이 혼합물을 실온에서 밤새 교반하고 20 mL HCl-산성수(acidified water)로 퀀칭하고(quenched), 그 다음에 다이에틸에테르 (100 mL)로 추출하였다. 유기층을 증류수로 세차례 세척하고 무수 황산 나트륨으로 건조시켰다. 이 혼합물을 118-119 ℃에서 증류법으로 정제하여 13.0 g (89 %)의 (트리메틸실릴메틸)다이메틸실란 생성물을 맑은, 무색 유체로 얻었다.

실시예 5
이 실시예는, 수성 표면 장력을 감소시키고 그에 따라 계면활성제들로서의 유용성을 나타내는 본 발명의 유기변성 실릴화 계면활성제 조성물들의 능력을 증명한다. 센서로서 샌드블라스트 처리된 플래티늄 블레이드(sand blasted platinum blade)를 갖는 크루스(Kruss) 표면장력계를 사용하여 표면 장력을 측정하였다. 다양한 성분들의 용액들을 평형 보조제(equilibrium aid)로서 0.005M NaCl 물 (탈이온화됨)에 0.1 중량%로 제조하였다.
표 3은, 이러한 독특한 조성물들의 용액들이 종래의 계면활성제에 비해 표면 장력의 큰 감소를 가져옴을 나타낸다.
본 발명의 조성물들은 또한 비교를 위한 트리실록산 계면활성제들 (A, B)과 유사한 스프레딩 특성들을 제공한다. 또한, 본 발명의 유기변성 실릴화 계면활성제들은, 종래의 실리콘 폴리에테르 (C)와 종래의 유기 계면활성제 제품 OPE에 비해 개선된 스프레딩을 제공한다.
스프레딩은, 계면활성제 용액의 10 μL 방울 하나를 폴리스티렌 페트리 접시들(Petri dishes) (Fisher Scientific)에 가하고, 50%와 70% 사이의 상대 습도에서 (22 내지 25℃에서) 30초 후에 스프레트 직경(spread diameter)(mm)을 측정함으로써 결정되었다. 이 용액을 재현가능한 부피의 방울들을 제공하기 위해 자동식 피펫으로 가하였다. 밀리포어(Millipore) 여과 시스템에 의해 추가로 정제된 탈이온수를 계면활성제 용액들을 제조하기 위해 사용하였다.

본 발명의 유기변성 실릴화 계면활성제들은, 산성 및 염기성 조건들(≤ pH 5 및 ≥ pH 9) 하에서 급속 가수분해에 처해지는, 종래의 실록산 베이스 계면활성제들과 달리, 종래의 트리실록산 알콕실레이트들 (비교예 A)에 비해 가수분해에 대한 증가된 저항성을 제공한다. 가수분해의 아티팩트(artifact)는 시간에 따른 스프레딩 특성들의 감소로서 관찰된다. 따라서, 본 발명의 유기변성 실릴화 계면활성제들의 용액들을 비교를 위한 계면활성제들과 함께 바람직한 사용 레벨들과 pH에서 제조하였다. 가수분해에 대한 저항성을 설명하기 위해 시간의 함수로서 스프레딩을 결정하였다.
표 8은, pH 3 내지 pH 10의 pH 범위에 걸쳐 가수분해의 함수로서 시간이 흐름에 따라 감소되는 스프레딩 성능을 나타내는, 종래의 유기변성 트리실록산 에톡실레이트 계면활성제의 하나의 실례를 설명한다. 여기서 생성물 (A)의 0.4 중량% 용액을 pH 3, 4, 5 및 10에서 제조하였다. 스프레딩은, 계면활성제 용액의 10 μL 방울 하나를 폴리아세테이트 필름 (USI, "Crystal Clear Write on Film")에 가하고, 50%와 70% 사이의 상대 습도에서 (22 내지 25℃에서) 30초 후에 스프레트 직경(mm)을 측정함으로써 결정하였다. 이 용액을 재현가능한 부피의 방울들을 제공하기 위해 자동식 피펫으로 가하였다. 밀리포어 여과 시스템에 의해 추가로 정제된 탈이온수를 계면활성제 용액들을 제조하기 위해 사용하였다.

실시예 8
다른 성분들의 스프레딩에 대한 영향을 본 발명의 유기변성 실릴화 계면활성제를 종래의 유기 베이스 보조-계면활성제와 블렌딩함으로써 결정하였다. 보조-계면활성제들이 표 10에 나타나 있다.
블렌드들을 물리적 혼합물로서 제조하였는데, 실릴화 계면활성제의 중량 분율(weight fraction)이 α(알파)로 표시되며, 이는 보조-계면활성제가 블렌드 비율의 나머지를 구성함을 나타낸다. 예를 들어, α = 0 일 때, 이것은 조성물이 0%의 실릴화 계면활성제 성분과 100% 보조-계면활성제를 함유하는 것을 나타내는 반면, α = 1.0 은 조성물이 100% 실릴화 계면활성제와 0% 보조-계면활성제를 포함함을 나타낸다. 두가지 성분들의 혼합물들을 중량 분율 α로 나타내며, 여기서 α는 0≤α≤1.0의 범위에 있다. 예를 들어, α = 0.25 일 때는, 계면활성제 혼합물이 25% 실릴화 계면활성제와 75% 보조-계면활성제로 구성됨을 나타낸다. 이러한 블렌드들은 그 다음에 스프레딩 평가를 위해 원하는 농도까지 물에 희석된다.

스프레딩에 대한 주된 유인(contributor: 誘因)이 실릴화 계면활성제이기 때문에 상대 농도들(즉, α = 0.75 는 물에 들어있는 이 계면활성제의 0.075%와 동등함)에서 실릴화 계면활성제를 단독으로 스프레드 성능을 위한 베이스라인(baseline)으로 사용하였다. 최대 스프레딩은 0.1% (α = 0)의 보조-계면활성제에 의해 제공되었다. 실릴화 계면활성제와 보조-계면활성제의 블렌드가 보조-계면활성제 (α = 0)와 상대적 α 값에서의 실릴화 계면활성제의 스프레딩을 초과할 때 상승효과가 나타난다.
표 11은, 본 발명의 보조-계면활성제들의 대표적인 실시예들이 유리한 스프레딩 결과들을 제공하며, 몇몇 경우에 혼합물의 스프레드 직경이 개별 성분들의 것을 초과하는 예상하지 못한 상승적인 증진(synergistic enhancement)을 가져옴을 증명한다.
