Description
Claims (12)
- 발광 소자와 상기 발광 소자에 구동 전류를 인가하는 구동용 TFT을 적어도 구비한 발광 표시용 화소를 다수 배열한 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치로서, 상기 발광 표시 장치에는 더욱 측정용 소자와 상기 소자에 구동 전류를 인가하는 구동용 TFT을 적어도 구비한 복수의 측정용 화소가 배열되고, 상기 측정용 화소를 구성하는 측정용 소자의 순방향 전압을 도출할 수 있도록 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 발광 표시용 화소가 데이터선과 제어선의 교점 위치에 매트릭스형으로 각각 배열되는 동시에, 상기 측정용 화소는 하나의 데이터선에 따라서 일렬로 배열되고, 상기 측정용 화소에서 이용되는 제어선이 상기 발광 표시용 화소에서 이용되는 제어선과 공통인 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 측정용 화소의 동작 전원이 정전류원인 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 정전류원의 전류값이 가변되도록 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 정전류원과 측정용 화소 사이에 있어서 상기 측정용 화소를 구성하는 측정용 소자의 순방향 전압을 얻도록 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 정전류원과 측정용 화소 사이에 상기 측정용 화소를 구성하는 측정용 소자의 순방향 전압을 얻도록 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 측정용 화소를 구성하는 측정용 소자에 의해서 얻어지는 순방향 전압에 기초하여, 발광 표시용 화소에 인가하는 전원 전압을 제어하는 전원 회로를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 적어도 상기 발광 표시용 화소에 있어서, 발광 소자가 유기 화합물을 발광층에 이용하는 유기 EL 소자에 의해 구성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치.
- 발광 소자와 상기 발광 소자에 구동 전류를 인가하는 구동용 TFT을 적어도 구비하는 발광 표시용 화소가 다수 배열되는 동시에, 더욱 측정용 소자와 상기 소자에 구동 전류를 인가하는 구동용 TFT을 적어도 구비한 복수의 측정용 화소가 배열된 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치의 구동 제어 방법으로서,상기 측정용 화소를 구성하는 측정용 소자를 구동시키는 단계와,상기 측정용 화소에 있어서의 측정용 소자의 순방향 전압을 얻는 단계와,상기 순방향 전압에 기초하여 상기 발광 표시용 화소에 인가하는 구동 전압을 제어하는 단계를 실행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치의 구동 제어 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 측정용 화소의 동작 전원으로서 정전류원이 이용되고, 상기 정전류원의 전류값을 상기 발광 소자의 발광 휘도에 따라서 가변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치의 구동 제어 방법.
- 제9항 또는 제10항에 있어서, 상기 측정용 화소를 구성하는 구동용 TFT는 선형 영역에서 동작시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치의 구동 제어 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 발광 표시용 화소를 구성하는 구동용 TFT는 소정의 게이트 전압에서 포화 영역에서 동작시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 구동형 발광 표시 장치의 구동 제어 방법.
