Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for setting a shortcut key of a mobile communication terminal is provided to arrange more than one shortcut key, and to enable a user to register and set the shortcut key appropriately for an own using pattern, so as to minimize the number of shortcut keys. CONSTITUTION: A user moves to a menu item for setting a shortcut key. The user presses a shortcut key to be set for the menu item in which a cursor is located over a predetermined time. If the shortcut key is pressed over the predetermined time, a microcomputer sets a shortcut key for a displayed and selected menu item. The microcomputer stores the set menu item and information on the shortcut key in a memory and registers the shortcut key. If an enter key is inputted after the random menu item is selected, the microcomputer executes a program of a corresponding function and displays an operation of the function on a display part.
