Abstract

PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to achieve an improved operating efficiency of refrigerator by performing cooling air circulation in an efficient manner and reducing the size of evaporator. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises an evaporator(11) mounted in a horizontal direction onto a freezing compartment(20), and which has cooling fins arranged at constant intervals; and a centrifugal blower fan(40) disposed onto the evaporator, and which circulates cooling air and allows the evaporator to contact the cooling air in its entirety. The freezing compartment has an inlet port(20a) formed at the top of the freezing compartment so as to introduce cooling air into the evaporator, and outlet ports(20b) formed at the side surface of the freezing compartment so as to discharge the cooling air passed through the evaporator into the freezing compartment. A tray(24) has a plurality of slots(24a) for introducing the cooling air discharged into the freezing compartment, to the evaporator.
