Abstract

PURPOSE: A portable displaying apparatus is to remove a protecting plate disposed to protect an LCD(liquid crystal display), and coat a passivation layer on a front polarizing plate of the LCD, thereby reducing a thickness of the LCD and improving impact-resistance. CONSTITUTION: An upper substrate(4) and a lower substrate(6) are disposed to be opposite each other while interposing a liquid crystal injecting portion(2) therebetween. A transparent electrode is patterned on each opposite surface of the upper and lower substrates. A sealant(8) is printed on both side-ends of the substrates. A polarizing plate(9,10) is attached to an outside portion of each substrate to give a direction to incident light. The polarizing plate determines a twist angle of liquid crystal when applying a voltage to the liquid crystal. A passivation layer(20) is coated on an entire face of the polarizing plate. The passivation layer is formed to be transparent so that the light is incident to the polarizing plate without any interference of the light.
