Description
The present invention relates to a rotary continuously variable charging device for an electric vehicle, and more specifically, to a rotary continuously variable charging device for an electric vehicle that allows charging a battery while continuously shifting for driving an electric vehicle.
As is well known, eco-friendly vehicles include hybrid vehicles that use an engine and a motor as a driving force, electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles that use a motor as a driving force.
Among these eco-friendly vehicles, electric vehicles are equipped with a driving motor, a transmission connected to the motor, and a battery.
Accordingly, when the accelerator pedal or the accelerator lever is operated, the driving motor is driven using the discharge power of the battery, and the vehicle can be driven through a shifting process of the transmission connected to the output shaft of the motor.
On the other hand, when coasting, which refers to driving by inertia without pressing the accelerator or brake pedals, the motor operates as a generator during regenerative braking to recover inertial energy to charge the battery. You can.
However, in electric vehicles, as the discharge power of the battery provided by the driving motor is consumed more than the charging power of the battery due to regenerative braking of the motor, the battery must be periodically charged at home or at an external charging station.
Therefore, in order to improve the fuel efficiency of electric vehicles, various charging methods in addition to the already known charging methods for batteries are required.
The present invention was conceived in consideration of the above points, and when the main motor for driving an electric vehicle is driven and the continuously variable transmission connected to the output shaft of the main motor is continuously shifted, the power generation device connected to the continuously variable transmission is made.
