Description
The present invention relates to a light emitting device package and a method for manufacturing a light emitting device package, and more particularly, to a chip scale light emitting device package for use in a lighting device requiring high luminance such as an automobile headlight and a method for manufacturing the same.
Among various light emitting devices, an LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a semiconductor device capable of implementing light of various colors by using a PN junction, and has advantages of long lifespan, miniaturization, light weight, and low-voltage driving.
In addition, LEDs are resistant to shock and vibration, do not require complicated driving, and can be mounted and packaged on boards or lead frames in various forms, so they are modularized and applied for lighting devices or back light units of displays. .
In addition, the LED package is also implemented in the form of a chip scale package (CSP), and such a chip scale package may be manufactured in a form coated with a light-transmitting material so as to surround side and top surfaces of the LED. In general, since the bottom surface of the LED is exposed in the chip scale package, it is possible to directly bond the electrode pad of the LED to the substrate.
However, in general, since a chip scale package itself does not include a reflector, it is difficult for light emitted from the LED to be provided in an intended direction while having appropriate luminance.
1 shows an example of a conventional chip scale package. As shown in FIG. 1, the

Hereinafter, various embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. These are drawings for explaining the shapes of the
Referring to FIG. 2 , a light emitting device package according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a
The
The
The
PIG(Phosphor In Glass), PIS(Phosphor In Silicon) Furthermore, considering the path of light reflected by the
Specific examples of the
FIG. 4 is an example in which the
FIG. 5 is an example in which the
In the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, the lower ends of the light-transmitting
6 shows that the lower end of the light-transmitting
7 is an example in which a portion of the light-transmitting
Next, a method for manufacturing a light emitting device package according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 3 . Likewise, the
A method of manufacturing a light emitting device package according to an embodiment of the present invention first starts with arranging a plurality of
Then, in order to form the light transmitting member ( 150 in FIG. 2 ), a light transmitting material is filled between the
Then, after curing the light-transmitting
Then, in step (c), the primary LED units FLU formed by being cut obliquely are mounted on the
In (d) of FIG. 3, only one primary LED unit (FLU) is shown enlarged. The
PIG(Phosphor In Glass), PIS(Phosphor In Silicon) Then, the
Then, in order to form a reflective member ( 140 in FIG. 2 ), a reflective material is filled between the primary LED units FLU to which the
Then, as shown in (f) of FIG. 3 , the cutting line CL2 is cut so that the
