Description
The present invention relates to a super capacitor, and more particularly, to a stacked lithium ion capacitor (LIC) using a graphene electrode.
Electric vehicles such as various portable electronic devices require electric energy storage devices for systems that require a power supply device, or systems for regulating or supplying an overload occurring instantaneously. Such electric energy storage devices include Ni-MH. Secondary batteries such as batteries, Ni-Cd batteries, lead acid batteries, and lithium secondary batteries, and supercapacitors, aluminum electrolytic capacitors, and ceramic capacitors having high output densities and almost unlimited charge / discharge lifetimes are included.
In particular, the supercapacitor includes an electric double layer capacitor (EDLC), a pseudo capacitor, and a hybrid capacitor such as a lithium ion capacitor (LIC).
Here, the electric double layer capacitor is a capacitor using the electrostatic charge phenomenon generated in the electric double layer formed at the interface of the different phases, and has a faster charge / discharge rate, higher charge / discharge efficiency, and cycle characteristics than a battery whose energy storage mechanism relies on oxidation and reduction processes. This superiority is widely used for backup power, and the potential as an auxiliary power source for electric vehicles in the future is infinite.
A pseudo capacitor is a capacitor that converts and stores a chemical reaction into electrical energy by using an oxidation-reduction reaction of an electrode and an electrochemical oxide reactant. The pseudocapacitor can store charge up to near the surface of the electrode material as compared to the double layer formed on the surface of the electrochemical double layer electrode, so that the storage capacity is about five times larger than that of the double layer capacitor. RuOx, IrOx, MnOx and the like are used as the metal oxide electrode materials.
The lithium ion capacitor is a new concept of a secondary battery system that combines the high power and long life characteristics of a conventional electric double layer capacitor with the high energy density of a lithium ion battery. The electric double layer capacitor using the physical adsorption reaction of the electric charge in the electric double layer is limited to various applications due to the low energy density despite the excellent output characteristics and lifetime characteristics. As a means of solving the problems of the electric double layer capacitor, a lithium ion capacitor using a carbon-based material capable of inserting and desorbing lithium ions as a negative electrode active material has been proposed. Thus, the potential of the cathode can be significantly lowered, and the cell voltage can be realized at a high voltage of 3.8 V or more, which is significantly improved compared to the 2.5 V of the conventional electric double layer capacitor, and can express high energy density.
Looking at the reaction mechanism of the lithium ion capacitor that constitutes the negative electrode using a lithium-based doped carbon-based material, electrons move from the negative electrode to the carbon-based material during charging, so that the carbon-based material has a negative charge, so that lithium ion is the carbon of the negative electrode. On the contrary, during discharge, lithium ions inserted into the carbon-based material are detached from the cathode, and negative ions are adsorbed on the cathode. By using such a mechanism, a lithium ion capacitor having a high energy density can be realized by controlling the doping amount of lithium ions at the cathode.
This lithium ion capacitor is a system that combines the energy storage capacity of a lithium ion battery with the output characteristics of a capacitor. It applies a material that can express both functions at the same time. It is a future battery system expanded to the level of ion battery.
Such lithium ion capacitors use a porous current collector to facilitate pre-doping of lithium ions to the cathode. An external terminal is bonded to an inner terminal formed on the porous current collector, and ultrasonic welding is mainly used as a method of bonding the outer terminal.
As such, in the related art, when the external terminal is bonded to the porous current collector, an ultrasonic welding method is used, a problem may occur in which the porous current collector is damaged according to the intensity of energy used for ultrasonic welding. If the porous current collector is damaged, the cell resistance increases, which may result in deterioration of the lithium ion capacitor.
In addition, a disconnection phenomenon may occur between the inner terminal and the outer terminal due to the stress acting during the ultrasonic welding of the outer terminal to the inner terminal of the porous current collector.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a stacked lithium ion capacitor using a graphene electrode.

Since the stacked lithium ion capacitor according to the present invention uses a graphene electrode as a positive electrode, and the graphene electrode includes reduced graphene powder, it is possible to lower the manufacturing cost of the stacked lithium ion capacitor and to provide excellent electricity including an increase in capacitance. Chemical properties.
The laminated lithium ion capacitor according to the present invention does not pre-dope lithium ions on a cathode, but pre-dopes lithium ions on a plate-type current collector, thereby preventing damage to the current collector during ultrasonic welding between the inner and outer terminals. External terminals can be joined stably.
In addition, by using a plate-type current collector, a large area between the electrode material and the current collector is high, and high output is easy.
In addition, even when the electrode is implemented, it is easy to coat the electrode material on the plate-type current collector according to the present invention as compared to coating the electrode material on a conventional porous current collector.

In addition, as the
On the other hand, the negative electrode
The
As described above, since the negative electrode and the positive electrode
In addition, the stacked
In addition, even when the electrode is implemented, it is advantageous in the process of coating the electrode active material on the plate-shaped current collector (14.24) according to the present embodiment as compared to coating the electrode material on a conventional porous current collector.
On the other hand, a conductive paste may be used for good bonding between the
As such, the
