Description
BACKGROUND OF THE
Hologram technology is a technique that can reproduce a signal as a stereoscopic image by recording interference fringes between a signal beam containing a signal and a reference beam. Hologram technology can be used in various fields such as recording and reproduction of stereoscopic images, prevention of forgery and verification of authenticity, and recording and reproduction of digital data. In addition, a hologram technique for recording three-dimensional images on a two-dimensional plane by recording fine interference fringes on a photosensitive recording film of a flat plate type in units of pixels (or hologram pixels, hogel) has been commercialized.
The hologram has a rear projection hologram and a reflection hologram. The rear projection hologram is a method in which light transmitted through a recording film contains a stereoscopic image, and the reflection hologram is a method in which light reflected from a recording film contains a stereoscopic image. Particularly, the reflection type hologram can record / reproduce an image having full-color and full-parallax, and can express gradation.
The recording of a hologram is generally performed by dividing a beam emitted from the same light source into a signal beam and a reference beam, modulating the signal beam, and then irradiating the signal beam and the reference beam at the same position on the photosensitive recording film . The modulation of the signal beam can be performed by a spatial light modulator, for example, according to a computer-calculated interference pattern based on an image to be finally reproduced from the photosensitive recording film.
In recording such a hologram at a high speed, it is very important to simultaneously record a hogel as a basic unit of the hologram. Generally, it is considered to install a plurality of optical elements in a redundant manner in order to simultaneously record a hogel. However, this may increase the manufacturing cost of the hologram recording apparatus, and may also cause a spatial limitation.

It is to be understood that both the foregoing general description and the following detailed description of the present invention are exemplary and explanatory and are not to be construed as limiting for the invention as set forth in the appended claims. And the scope of the present invention is only defined by the scope of the claims.
FIG. 1 schematically shows an exemplary structure of a high-speed hologram recording apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The recording of the hologram is generally performed by dividing the beam emitted from the same light source to make a signal beam and a reference beam, optically modulating the signal beam, and then recording the signal beam and the reference beam at the same position on the hologram recording medium, A beam is irradiated and the interference fringes generated at this time are recorded. Here, the modulation of the signal beam can be performed by a spatial light modulator (SLM) according to the interference pattern computed by the computer based on the image to be finally reproduced from the photosensitive recording film.
Further, in order to increase the resolution of the hologram while recording a large area hologram, the hologram can be recorded in hogel units constituting the basic unit of the hologram. The hogel may, for example, be of a size with a width of several hundred micrometers (micrometers).
Generally, in order to record the first hoggle among several hoggles, information on the first hoggle is input to the spatial light modulator, and the interference pattern of the signal beam and the reference beam modulated by the first hoggle is recorded.
Here, the following steps are required to record the second hogel. First, the hologram recording medium must be moved to the position where information of the next gel is recorded. Next, the information on the second hogel is input to the optical modulator, and a laser beam is irradiated to record the interference pattern of the signal beam and the reference beam modulated by the second hogel.
As described above, in order to record a plurality of gels, it is common to repeat the above-described process sequentially. However, in order to move the hologram recording medium and record the new hologram, it takes time for the device to stabilize, such as the time it takes for the hologram recording medium to move and the time for which the vibration due to the movement to decrease. Therefore, in order to record one hologram, it is necessary to move and stabilize the hologram recording medium in addition to the time of recording the hologram, and a considerable amount of time is required to record the entire hologram.
The present disclosure is directed to an apparatus and method capable of high speed hologram recording.

FIG. 2A is a view for explaining an embodiment of the portion A shown in FIG. 1 in detail. The portion A shown in FIG. 1 includes an
In Fig. 2A, the advancing direction of the signal beam is referred to as X direction, and the direction perpendicular thereto is referred to as Z direction. Referring to FIG. 2A, in one embodiment of the present invention, the
When the signal beam whose direction is changed by the
When writing of the hogel by the first beam is completed, the
The number of beams whose directions are changed by the
2B is a view for explaining another embodiment of the portion A shown in FIG.
Referring to FIG. 2B, the
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the direction deflected by the
The time for holding the first beam depends on the time required to record the hologram on the
After a period of time for writing one gel by the first beam, the
As described above, the
On the other hand, once recording of the hologels by all the beams deflected by the
Therefore, the time for deflecting and holding the signal beam by the
FIG. 3A is a graph showing intensity of a light source driven according to an embodiment of the present invention with time.
The
Referring to FIG. 3A, t represents the time required to record one hue gel. That is, the direction of the beam emerging from the
On the other hand, the time? T shown in FIG. 3A means the time when the
When the
3B is a graph showing the intensity of the light source driven for hologram recording in the absence of the
Fig. 4 shows a shape in which a hologram is recorded on the
On the other hand, the

The reference
To this end, the reference
Referring to FIG. 1, a reference
