Description
The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing a nanostructure dispersion and a method for producing a nanostructure dispersion using the same. In preparation of a polymer / carbon nanotube composite in which carbon nanotubes are dispersed in a polymer matrix, it is necessary to prepare a dispersion in which carbon nanotubes are evenly dispersed in a polymer matrix. As such a pretreatment technique, . ≪ / RTI >
In general, ultrasonic dispersion generates ultrasonic waves by an ultrasonic vibrator, amplifies the amplitude of the ultrasonic waves generated by using a booster and a horn, and drives the ultrasonic waves by using an ultrasonic oscillator. Ultrasonic vibrators use piezoelectric ceramics that convert electric energy into vibrational energy using an inverse piezoelectric effect phenomenon.
Ultrasonic dispersion is generated by cavitational bubbles generated when irradiating ultrasonic waves generated in the aqueous solution before dispersion. The mechanism of ultrasonic cavitation in aqueous solution consists of three steps: bubble nucleation, growth of bubble, and explosive rupture of fully grown bubble. Shockwaves are generated when bubbles of high temperature and high pressure disappear, so that carbon nanotubes can be evenly dispersed in the polymer matrix.
The ultrasonic treatment includes a bath method and a horn method. The horn method refers to a method of directly applying ultrasonic waves to a solvent by directly contacting a horn for amplifying ultrasonic waves generated from an ultrasonic generator with a solvent to be subjected to ultrasonic treatment. The bath method refers to a method in which ultrasonic waves are indirectly applied to a target solvent through an arbitrary medium such as water other than a target solvent without directly applying ultrasound to the solvent to be subjected to the ultrasonic treatment.
When using a conventional ultrasonic dispersing apparatus, it takes a long time such as 3 to 7 hours for dispersing. It is important to adjust the properties of the polymer matrix to improve the dispersibility in dispersing the nanostructure, but the present invention relates to a dispersion apparatus for promoting dispersion and improving dispersion stability of the dispersion, not regarding the polymer matrix .
FIG. 1 schematically shows a cross-sectional view of a dispersing device according to the present invention. 1, an aspect of the present invention includes a
All of the above-described structures may be integrally formed by disposing them in the
The
The ends of the
The horizontal separation distance between the
Although the case of using a single number of
In the above description, the ultrasonic horn and the
A thermostat (not shown) may be further provided on the outer wall of the
Microbubbles may be generated in the bubble generator. The microbubbles are fine bubbles having a diameter of about 5 탆, and the chain reaction of bonding, cleavage and rupture is repeated with a short time of 1 을. The size of bubbles that can usually be seen by eyes is about 2 mm, but micro bubbles can not be visually confirmed. Normal bubbles rise rapidly in water, but micro bubbles rise by about 3 mm per minute because they have small buoyancy, so they can stay in water for a long time. The micro bubbles collapse and disappear in the form of nano-sized bubbles in water. At the time of extinction, the internal pressure rises sharply (theoretically, infinite) and disappears, generating free radicals, and free radicals have excellent sterilizing power and chemical decomposition ability.
Although the microbubbles are described herein, the present invention is not limited thereto. The present invention may include nanobubbles having diameters on the order of nanometers and general bubbles having diameters larger than microbubbles. Such bubbles may be generated by pressurization by air, nitrogen gas, or by forced circulation of the impeller installed in the piping, which is circulated by pumping.
As a method of generating micro bubbles, there are a pressurization dissolution method, a swirl method, and the like, and they may be used at the same time. According to the pressure-and-dissolving method, when a sufficient amount of gas at high pressure is dissolved in water, and then the pressure is reduced to create supersaturation conditions, the gas is separated from the water to form microbubbles. Since the micro bubble is formed by using the high pressure multi-stage pump or passing through the fine holes, the energy efficiency is low and the fine holes may be clogged by the foreign materials. The swirl system generates a swirl in the liquid so as to inhale the gas with a difference in air pressure, and refines the bubbles released when the vortex collapses. A wing is installed at the outlet of the pipe to generate a swirl flow, and the liquid contains bubbles and microbubbles are generated when the vortex collapses. A propeller may be mounted on the shaft to rotate the fluid in the tube to generate a vortex. For example, microbubbles can be generated while high-pressure air and nitrogen pass through the diffuser, or when the impeller is rotated at high speed in water, microbubbles may be generated as cavitation occurs due to impingement of water with impeller blades.
The bubble generating unit may be a single number, a plurality of ultrasonic horns may be arranged, and a plurality of ultrasonic horns may be arranged around the bubble generating unit.

FIG. 6 schematically shows a process for producing a dispersion liquid having excellent dispersion stability according to the present invention. The manufacturing process will be described with reference to FIG.
First, a solvent, a polymer, and a nanostructure are put into the dispersing apparatus of FIG. The materials may be homogenized in advance using a homogenizer and then introduced into the dispersing apparatus shown in Fig.
The solvent is not particularly limited as long as it can dissolve the polymer. Specific examples of the solvent include water, tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide, toluene, ethanol, N-methylpyrrolidone, dimethyl sulfoxide, methanol ), And combinations thereof, may be used as a solvent.
Examples of the polymer include, but are not limited to, polyanilino-N-butylsulfonic acid, polyanilino-N-pentylsulfonic acid, At least one selected from the group consisting of polyanilino-N-propylsulfonic acid, polyanilino-N-sulfonic acid and polyanilino-N-sulfonic acid may be used. When electrical conductivity is required for a thin film to be produced, a conductive polymer can be used, and a suitable polymer can be selected in consideration of mechanical properties and chemical characteristics.
The nanostructures may include carbon nanotubes, nanoparticles, nanorods, and the like. The nanostructure refers to a nanoscale structure. As the nanostructure, an appropriate one can be selected in consideration of the performance required for the nanostructure-polymer complex to be produced. For example, when electrical conductivity is required, metal nanostructures such as silver nanoparticles and silver nanorods may be used, or carbon nanotubes may be used. In particular, carbon nanotubes are used in various fields because of their high electrical conductivity, excellent thermal stability, high tensile strength and excellent stability. As the carbon nanotubes, multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) or mixtures thereof can be used. For cost considerations, it is preferable to use multi-wall carbon nanotubes.
In addition, additives may be added to control physical properties. Examples of such additives include sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS), Triton X-100, ethylcellulose, nitrocellulose ) Can be used.
0.05 to 10 parts by weight of a polymer and 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a nanostructure are preferably added to 100 parts by weight of the solvent. When the ratio of each component is in the above range, dispersion stability is excellent.
Next, a dispersion in which the nanostructure is dispersed in the polymer matrix can be manufactured by operating the ultrasonic generator and the
In the ultrasonic dispersing apparatus, ultrasonic waves having a low frequency and high output are used. Ultrasonic waves having an output of 100 to 4000 W and a frequency of 20 to 28 kHz can be used. The
Next, the dispersion is centrifuged to remove undispersed particles and the like to obtain a final dispersion. The centrifugation is carried out in order to remove nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes which have not been modified by the polymer when the ultrasonic dispersion is carried out, and are not precipitated or floated.
In addition, the dispersion may be applied to a substrate and dried to form a polymer-nanostructure composite thin film. As the substrate, a plastic substrate such as quartz, glass, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), polycarbonate, polystyrene, and polypropylene can be used. After the substrate is washed with ethanol, the surface is modified by UV irradiation, a certain amount of the dispersion is coated on the surface-modified substrate, and the substrate is naturally dried at room temperature under atmospheric pressure for 24 hours or more to form a carbon nanotube-polymer composite thin film . As a method of applying the dispersion, dip coating, spray coating, spin coating, screen printing, spray coating, roll coating, blade coating, gravure coating or doctor blading can be used.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples and Comparative Examples. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments.
실시예Example
250 mg of the directly prepared polyaniline-based conductive polymer and 500 mg of carbon nanotubes (Zeosan, average diameter of 5 to 20 탆, length of 1 to 10 탆) were added to 500 ml of water, which was then stirred to prepare a mixed solution . The mixed solution was put into a dispersion producing apparatus (see FIG. 1), and microbubbles and ultrasonic treatment were carried out for 10 minutes while repeatedly starting the mobile unit up and down, and then centrifuged to obtain a final dispersion. In FIG. 7, the surface roughness of the dispersion before and after centrifugal separation was analyzed by AFM. (A: before centrifugation, B: after centrifugation). In comparison with the AFM 3D photograph in FIG. 7, the Ra (roughness average) before centrifugation was 24.644 nm, and the Ra value after centrifugation was 13.033 nm. It can be confirmed that the average uniformity of the thin film is reduced by centrifugation. As the dispersion producing apparatus, three ultrasonic generators of the horn type were arranged around the micro bubble generator in a circular shape. The diameter of the horn was 2.5 cm, and the ultrasonic generator was operated at a frequency of 20 kHz and an output of 500 W.

Comparative Example

Microstructure of Carbon Nanotube-Polymer Complex Thin Films>
The carbon nanotube-polymer composite thin films of Examples and Comparative Examples were observed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) on the surfaces and cross sections, and the results are shown in Figs. 9 and 10 (Comparative Examples: Figs. 9 (A) 10 (A), and examples: Figs. 9 (B) and 10 (B)). Referring to FIGS. 9 and 10, it can be seen that the carbon nanotubes can be formed to have a higher density and a thinner thickness in the thin film in the embodiment.
Electrical Conductivity of Carbon Nanotube-Polymer Complex Thin Films>
The electrical conductivities of the thin films of Examples and Comparative Examples were measured 10 times using a 4 point probe method using a device (SR1000N) manufactured by ACITAS. As a result, the electric conductivity in the range of 60 to 120? Was shown in the examples, and the electric conductivity was more than 800? In the comparative example. As a result, it can be confirmed that the electric conductivity of the thin film prepared according to the example is remarkably excellent. It can be understood that this is due to the difference in the microstructure of the thin film as shown in Figs. 9 and 10.
