Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to phosphorus solder alloys, and more particularly to phosphorus solder alloys, which contain no silver or contain less silver (Ag) and which are economical and contain conventional silver (Ag). It relates to a copper solder alloy exhibiting the same or better welding properties.
Silver soldering has been used for a long time in joining metal members in various industrial fields including air conditioning and heating. For example, in typical air-conditioning and refrigeration piping, at least tens to hundreds of solder joints are formed.
Soldering, on the other hand, is commonly used to join copper tubes or brass parts to copper tubes, which are classified into brazing (brazing) and soldering (brazing) depending on the working temperature. In particular, brazing is a method of joining metals without melting the base metal of the joint at a working temperature of about 600 to 900, and is known as a joining method of forming a strong, gapless welding bond between two joining metal members. Accordingly, brazing has been used in various ways for joining homogeneous or similar metals, dissimilar metals, joining coarse and thin portions, or dissimilar metals with significantly different melting points.
In particular, in the welding of brass material, if the working temperature increases or the working time becomes long, de-zinc phenomenon occurs on the surface of the brass, which may result in scale. Since the scale thus formed prevents the smooth flow of the welding material, there is a problem in that oxides need to be removed during welding using flux aids (eg, gas fluxes, chlorides, fluorides, boron compounds, etc.).
Currently, silver (Ag) is inevitably used in a brazing material as an alloying component to solve this problem. Especially in the pipe welding field, 0.5 ~ 30 wt% of silver (Ag) is mainly used as a welding material during the welding of brass parts. The reason for adding silver (Ag) in this way is to lower the melting point of the brass. This is to improve the flowability (wetability) and adhesion on the surface.
However, silver (Ag) is an expensive precious metal, and the price is expected to continue to increase in consideration of the development trend of the electronic industry. Therefore, it is necessary to minimize the use of expensive silver (Ag) or minimize the content of silver (Ag) in terms of economics, and in view of weldability, development of a copper solder alloy with improved flowability and wettability of the copper solder alloy is required. Has been required.
The present invention is to solve the above problems pointed out in the conventional copper solder alloy, it does not contain any silver (Ag) at all, or contains a smaller amount of silver (Ag), while having economical and conventional silver (Ag) An object of the present invention is to provide a copper solder alloy exhibiting the same or better weldability and physical properties as a copper solder alloy containing a).
The phosphorus solder alloy according to the present invention comprises at least one element selected from the first group consisting of Te: 0.000007 to 0.007 wt%, In: 0.01 to 3.0 wt%, and Pd: 0.001 to 1.0 wt% on the existing phosphorus alloy and P: 5.0 It includes ~ 7.5 wt%, the balance is characterized by consisting of Cu.
As another embodiment of the present invention, the brazing joint is composed of Ag: 0.5-15.0 wt%, Sn: 0.5-5.0 wt%, In: 0.01-3.0 wt%, Pd: 0.001-1.0 wt% and Se 0.001-3.0 wt% At least one element selected from the second group may be further included, and the elements selected from the first group and the second group may be different from each other.
The phosphorus solder alloy according to the present invention does not contain any silver (Ag) or by lowering the silver (Ag) content as compared to the phosphorus solder alloy containing silver (Ag), while lowering the manufacturing cost of the phosphorus alloy material It shows welding characteristics such as flowability and wettability equivalent to or better than those of silver-containing phosphorus solder alloys.
Particularly, one embodiment of the present invention is to add tellurium (Te) as a characteristic element to the copper solder alloy, to minimize the content of residual oxygen, hydrogen, etc. in the flux when dissolving the phosphor as an additive element in place of the silver characteristics during welding It is an additive element that refines the solidification structure of phosphorus after welding to improve mechanical properties and welding properties (flow, wettability and diffusion). In addition, due to the tellurium (Te) present in the copper solder alloy, the extrusion pressure during wire extrusion of the cast billet is reduced, and also the effect of improving the elongation and low temperature characteristics of the wire.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described. Embodiments of the invention may be modified in many different forms, the scope of the invention should not be construed as limited to the embodiments described below. The embodiments of the present invention are provided to more completely explain the present invention to those skilled in the art.
구체적으로, Cu-P-Te, Cu-P-In, Cu-P-Pd 뿐만 아니라, Cu-P-Te-In, Cu-P-Te-Pd, Cu-P-In-Pd, Cu-P-Te-In-Pd 등을 들 수 있다.
The copper solder alloy according to an embodiment of the present invention has copper (Cu) as a main component, and includes at least one element selected from the first group consisting of Te, In, and Pd, and P. Specifically, Cu-P-Te, Cu-P-In, Cu-P-Pd, as well as Cu-P-Te-In, Cu-P-Te-Pd, Cu-P-In-Pd, Cu-P -Te-In-Pd etc. are mentioned. Hereinafter, the role of each alloy component and the reason for component limitation are as follows.
Phosphorus (P) is a highly active metal component, and serves to significantly drop the liquidus line of copper (Cu) to 715 to 800. In addition, phosphorus (P) easily bonds with an oxide on the surface of copper (Cu) to perform a self flux function.
Phosphorus (P) content of the copper solder alloy according to the present invention is 5.0 ~ 7.5 wt%. When the phosphorus (P) content is less than 5.0 wt%, the flux function is weak, and when the phosphorus (P) content exceeds 7.5wt%, brittleness is caused, so it must be kept within the above range.
In addition, the phosphorus solder alloy according to the present invention contains at least one element selected from the first group. The first group in the present invention means a group consisting of Te, In, and Pd, which serves to improve flow and wettability.
Tellurium (Te) has the effect of removing impurities such as residual oxygen compounds, hydrogen compounds in the alloy when dissolved, and has the effect of stably diffused on the surface of copper (Cu) and brass during welding. Tellurium also improves conductivity, toughness, flow and wetting.
The tellurium (Te) content of the phosphorus solder alloy according to the present invention is 0.000007 to 0.007 wt%, preferably 0.000007 to 0.0007 wt%. Tellurium (Te) not only improves conductivity, toughness and flowability but also lowers the extrusion resistance during hot extrusion by about 10 to 20% even when only a small amount is added. Since the bubble is severely generated by reacting with the excess oxygen inside, the weldability is lowered, so the upper limit is set to 0.5 wt%. However, if the tellurium content exceeds 0.1wt%, the gas flux torch can be used. In addition, only by adding a small amount of tellurium (Te) it was confirmed that the elongation of the wire rod improved by 5 ~ 8%.
Indium (In) is an alloy component that lowers the melting point of the copper solder alloy, improves flowability and wettability, and increases internal toughness.
Indium (In) content of the copper solder alloy according to the present invention is 0.01 ~ 3.0 wt%. If the indium (In) content is less than 0.01wt%, the effect of improving flowability is insignificant, and if it exceeds 3.0wt%, an indium oxide film is formed, resulting in a decrease in flowability during welding.
Palladium (Pd) serves to increase the flowability and wettability between dissimilar metals.
In particular, it can be used when welding the contact materials such as Ag-Ni, Ag-W, Ag-CdO when the existing electrical terminals are bonded. The content of palladium (Pd) is 0.1 to 3 wt%. If the palladium (Pd) content is less than 0.1wt%, there is a problem in welding characteristics such as flowability and wettability, and if it exceeds 3% wt%, there is a problem in that the melting point is increased and the flowability and interfacial properties are lowered.
The copper solder alloy according to another embodiment of the present invention is a copper solder alloy composed of copper (Cu), phosphorus (P), and at least one element selected from the first group, and at least one element selected from the second group. It further comprises. The second group in the present invention means a group consisting of silver (Ag), tin (Sn), indium (In), palladium (Pd) and selenium (Se), and selected from the first group and the second group The elements must be different from each other.
Silver (Ag) is the most useful and important element among the phosphorus solder alloy elements to lower the melting point and improve the wettability, the diffusibility, and the like. Silver (Ag) itself is excellent in corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and has a feature of improving the tensile strength when combined with other elements. In addition, since the silver (Ag) alloy has excellent penetration in the molten state, a joint surface excellent in toughness can be obtained. However, due to the cost problem, the conventional copper solder alloy material generally maintains about 0.5 to 30 wt% of silver (Ag) content.
Silver (Ag) content of the phosphorus solder alloy according to the present invention is 0.5 ~ 15.0 wt%. When the silver (Ag) content is less than 0.5 wt%, the improvement effect of flowability and weldability is hardly exhibited, and when 15.0 wt% is added, it is generally the same as the welding material containing 30 wt% silver (Ag). In order to show the characteristic, the maximum content of silver was made into 15.0 wt%.
Tin (Sn) has an extremely low melting point and is an additive element that lowers the melting point of the copper solder alloy. It also improves the flowability, wettability, penetration, etc. of the molten copper solder alloy.
Tin (Sn) content of the phosphorus solder alloy according to the present invention is 0.5 ~ 7.0 wt%. When the tin (Sn) content is less than 0.5 wt%, there is little improvement effect such as flowability and weldability, and when it exceeds 7.0 wt%, low temperature brittleness is caused.
Selenium (Se) is an alloying element added to improve weldability. Since selenium (Se) is an element that has a very fast penetration diffusion on the brass surface, it serves to diffuse the welding material in a short time during welding.
Selenium (Se) content of the phosphorus solder alloy according to the present invention is 0.0001 ~ 3.0 wt%. If selenium (Se) content is less than 0.0001wt%, the improvement of weldability is insignificant. If it exceeds 3.0 wt%, due to the low boiling point of selenium (Se), bubbles are increased and phosphate and compounds are formed. It was observed to generate a residue on the surface.
Finally, copper (Cu) is an element with useful properties similar to silver (Ag) in phosphorus solder alloys. There are many advantages such as ductility, thermal conductivity, conductivity, corrosion resistance, and strong penetration.
The copper solder alloy according to the present invention contains copper (Cu) as the remainder except for the alloying component.
In particular, in the present invention, by adding a small amount of tellurium (Te), it is possible to reduce the content of hydrogen and oxygen in the copper solder alloy to the level of oxygen-free copper (ofc) to develop a product that can maximize the weldability, workability. In addition, the extrusion pressure decreases when wire casting of the cast billet is added during the addition of tellurium (Te), the elongation of the wire is improved, and the extrusion speed during extrusion can be increased by 10 to 20%, thereby improving productivity.
