Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a marine gas oil (MGO) cooling system for ships, and more particularly, in order to use MGO, which is a raw material used by a vessel sailing a coast of the country, as a fuel, to be cooled to a constant temperature. A marine MGO cooling system for cooling MGO to a constant temperature.
Ships transport more than 90% of the world's logistics, and cargo ship tonnage has tripled since 1970. But the engine that powers the ship's engines is particularly nasty cheap fuel that emits toxic emissions. Bunker oil, which most ships currently use most, is the 'waste fuel' that remains after oil refining, which may contain harmful heavy metals such as lead and vanadium. However, a ton of heavy bunker oil costs about $ 505 for diesel trucks. It is cheaper than two-thirds of the price of MSO, similar to fuel, and in general, bunker oil is used as a power source when sailing a ship.
Bunker oil has been pointed out as the main culprit of environmental pollution, such as the emission of a large amount of sulfurous acid gas, and the release of nitric oxide gas, which causes smog.
Accordingly, European countries and other countries have established regulations to use MGO (Marine Gas Oil), which contains relatively little sulfur or harmful substances, instead of using bunker oil as a power source for ships sailing offshore. The situation is to be enforced. In other words, from 2010, Europort will enforce the regulation of fuel used in ships for the regulation of Hankyung, and Bunker C oil, which is an existing fuel, cannot be used in the Sox Emission Control Area (SECA). MGO (Marine Gas Oil) must be used as fuel.
Thus, ships sailing through the ocean are expected to use inexpensive bunk oil in the ocean as fuel oil and MGO in the offshore to prevent the generation of pollutants.
MGO is an oil with a very low viscosity compared to bunker C oil and cannot be directly fed into the engine at a temperature of 37 degrees. The engine requires a viscosity of about 2 Cst, which requires the MGO to be cooled to 15 to 17 degrees Celsius.
Therefore, in order to use MGO as fuel oil, it is necessary to keep the temperature of MGO constant.
The present invention is to solve the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an MGO cooling system for cooling the temperature of the MGO to a constant temperature when using the MGO as marine fuel oil.
An object of the present invention is to provide a thermal compensation of the refrigerant in various ways, and to provide an MGO cooling system capable of stably operating the system.

The MGO cooling system of the present invention uses four component evaporators, compressors, condensers and expansion valves (expansion valves), which are essential components of the existing cooling system, but as described above, the unique configuration of the MGO cooling system of the present invention is unique. With this, it is possible to effectively cool the ship fuel oil MGO.
With multiple expansion valves set at different injection rates, the cooling system can be operated properly according to the temperature of MGO, and the system is stable by installing compressor feedback line and refrigerant bypass line to prevent overcooling or overheating of refrigerant. In addition, by having a load cooler using waste heat of the cooling water used in the condenser, there is an advantage that the heat compensation of the refrigerant can be performed without energy loss.
Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings will be described in more detail with respect to the MGO cooling system, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
1 is a schematic diagram of an MGO cooling system, in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, the MGO cooling system of the present invention also has the same basic configuration as a general cooling system, thereby essentially configuring four components required for a general cooling system. That is, the basic configuration includes an evaporator (100), a compressor (200), a condenser (300), and an expansion valve (expansion valve) 400 corresponding to essential components of the cooling system. Since the components of such a cooling system are very general, a detailed description thereof will be omitted. Hereinafter, when using MGO as a ship fuel oil, the following description will focus on the components of the present invention introduced to cool them.
The MGO cooling system of the present invention preferably uses R-404a as a refrigerant, but is not necessarily limited thereto. MGO is cooled to a constant temperature by heat exchange with the refrigerant R-404a in the evaporator (100). Since MGO, like other oils, varies in viscosity according to temperature, a system capable of variably controlling the MGO temperature and viscosity in the MGO outlet line P12, the outlet line of the
The 3-
As such, the 3-
Apart from the 3-way valve, heat load fluctuations in the evaporator are caused by a control signal of the
A plurality of branch pipes P40 are formed in the refrigerant inflow line flowing into the
A refrigerant bypass line P30 for bypassing the refrigerant so that the refrigerant is injected without passing through the evaporator is connected to the front end of the branch pipe of the refrigerant inflow line flowing into the
As described above, the MGO cooling system of the present invention is provided with a refrigerant bypass line (Pypass Line, P30) in front of the branch pipe, with a plurality of branch pipes consisting of expansion valves and solenoid valves having a plurality of different capacities, The automatic system may automatically control the
The MGO cooling system of the present invention receives the viscosity and temperature signals from the viscosity meter (Viscometer, 108) and the
The
Meanwhile, a configuration for preventing overcooling and overheating of the refrigerant generated in the
More specifically, the subcooling of the refrigerant is a phenomenon in which the refrigerant passes through the evaporator in a liquid state because the refrigerant does not evaporate sufficiently when a large amount of refrigerant flows into the evaporator, compared to the heat load of the evaporator. If refrigerant enters the compressor directly, it can cause serious damage to the compressor. In preparation for such subcooling, by connecting the high temperature and high pressure refrigerant line, the outlet line of the compressor, to the compressor inlet line, the high temperature and high pressure refrigerant is mixed by using the
The superheat phenomenon is the opposite of the supercooling phenomenon. When a small amount of refrigerant flows into the evaporator compared to the heat load of the evaporator, the refrigerant is superheated in the evaporator. Thus, the superheated refrigerant can be prevented from overheating of the refrigerant by properly mixing the low-temperature liquid refrigerant line (ie, bypass line (P30) at the front end of the branch pipe) of the expansion valve with the outlet line of the evaporator.
As described above, the supercooling and the overheating of the refrigerant are sensed by the temperature sensor in front of the compressor, and the control unit receiving the signal controls the
Due to the system of the present invention, regardless of the heat load fluctuations of the MGO flowing into the evaporator, the MGO cooling system operates safely, and can always supply the MGO to the main engine at a constant temperature and viscosity.
MGO cooling system of the present invention includes a load cooler (600) formed integrally or independently of the condenser in order to compensate the refrigerant by using the heat of the coolant waste heat of the condenser. The purpose of the installation of the
In the MGO cooling system of the present invention, the
In the MGO pipe line that is connected to the MGO cooling system, Bunker C flows through the pipe when the MGO cooling system is not running. Therefore, contaminants of bunker C oil may accumulate in the
In addition, the
The operation of the

Referring to FIG. 2, a blue tube is a refrigerant line corresponding to a heat transfer tube, a red tube is an
In addition to the heat source compensation of the insufficient refrigerant according to the operating state of the cooling system, when the freezer is stopped, it is possible to effectively remove contaminated oils for the purpose of heat exchanger maintenance.
The MGO line in the vessel flowing into the MGO cooling system is a common line with bunker C oil, not an independent line through which only the MGO flows, and the bunker C oil usually flows. Therefore, during operation of the MGO cooling system, a small amount of bunker C oil remaining in the existing pipe or adhering to the pipe surface is inevitably introduced into the evaporator. This results in contamination of bunker C oil, which has a much higher viscosity than MGO, in the evaporator of the MGO cooling system. The contaminants of the bunker C oil are present in the evaporator as solids when the MGO cooling system is inoperative, and heated to the
Thus, the operation of the electric heater in the evaporator can effectively remove contaminants in the MGO.
