Claims (11)
- 게이트신호를 공급하는 다수개의 게이트라인들과,상기 게이트라인들과 절연되면서 교차함과 아울러 인접 데이터라인과 절연되면서 지그재그 구조로 교차하게 형성되어 화소전압신호를 공급하는 다수개의 데이터라인들과,상기 게이트라인들과 데이터라인들의 교차로 마련되는 영역마다 형성된 액정셀들과,상기 게이트라인들 중 어느 하나와 상기 데이터라인들 중 어느 하나에 접속되어 상기 액정셀들 각각을 구동하는 박막트랜지스터를 포함하는 액정패널과;상기 게이트신호를 공급하는 게이트 드라이버와;상기 화소전압신호를 공급함과 아울러 그 화소전압신호를 미리 정해진 기간마다 인접한 화소전압신호와 상호 교환하여 공급하는 데이터 드라이버를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터라인들은인접한 기수번째 데이터라인과 우수번째 데이터라인이 수평라인마다 교번적으로 그 위치가 바뀌게끔 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터 드라이버는순차적인 샘플링신호를 공급하는 쉬프트 레지스터 어레이와,상기 샘플링신호에 응답하여 화소데이터를 래치하여 출력하는 래치 어레이와,상기 래치 어레이로부터의 화소데이터를 화소전압신호로 변환하는 디지털-아날로그 변환기 어레이와,상기 화소전압신호를 그대로 출력하거나 인접한 기수번째와 우수번째 화소전압신호를 상호 교환하여 출력하는 교환기 어레이를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 교환기 어레이의 입력단 또는 출력단에 위치하여 입력되는 화소전압신호를 신호완충하여 출력하는 버퍼 어레이를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 교환기 어레이는 입력 제어신호에 응답하여 기수번째 수평기간에는 입력된 화소전압신호들을 그대로 출력하고, 우수번째 수평기간에는 2i-1번째와 2i번째 화소전압신호를 상호 교환하여 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터 드라이버는 칼럼 인버젼 방식으로 구동되고 상기 액정패널은 도트 인버젼 방식으로 구동되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서,상기 액정표시장치는 게이트라인들과 절연되면서 교차함과 아울러 인접 데이터라인과 절연되면서 지그재그 구조로 교차하게 형성된 데이터라인을 따라 지그재그형으로 배치된 액정셀들을 가지는 액정패널을 구비하고;입력 화소데이터 신호를 화소전압신호로 변환하는 단계와;미리 정해진 기간마다 상기 화소전압신호를 그대로 상기 데이터라인들에 공급하거나 인접한 화소전압신호와 상호 교환하여 상기 데이터라인에 공급하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 데이터라인들은 인접한 기수번째 데이터라인과 우수번째 데이터라인이 수평라인마다 교번적으로 그 위치가 바뀌게끔 형성되고,상기 화소전압신호를 교환하는 경우 인접한 기수번째와 우수번째 화소전압신호를 상호 교환하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 화소전압신호를 데이터라인에 공급하는 단계는기수번째 수평기간에는 입력된 화소전압신호들을 그대로 출력하고, 우수번째 수평기간에는 2i-1번째와 2i번째 화소전압신호를 상호 교환하여 출력하는 단계인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 화소전압신호로 변환하는 단계는상기 입력 화소데이터 신호를 칼럼 인버젼 방식으로 상기 화소전압신호로 변환하는 단계이고,상기 액정패널은 도트 인버젼 방식으로 구동되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 액정셀은 상기 데이터 라인을 따라 지그재그 형으로 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
