Abstract

A universal joint is provided to prevent a stud of a key from being broken by transferring power between a shaft rod and a shaft tube using only the key while preventing a bad influence from being exerted on the stud. Key grooves(21,41) having the same widths are formed on the shaft rod and the shaft tube, respectively. A key(50) is inserted into ends of key grooves such that power between the shaft rod and the shaft tube is transmitted through the key. A hole(42) is formed on the key groove of the shaft tube. A stud(51) is formed on the key. The stud is inserted into the hole of the key groove, thereby installing the key to the key groove.
