Abstract

본 발명은 3인이 탑승할 수 있는 자동차용 전열 시트 조립체에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 전열 시트 조립체는 자동차 실내의 전측부에 소정 간격을 두고 설치되며, 탑승자의 하체를 받치는 시트 쿠션과 상기 시트 쿠션의 후단에 세워져 탑승자의 등을 지지하는 시트 백을 각각 가지는 운전석과 조수석; 및 운전석과 조수석 사이에 설치되며, 조수석의 시트 쿠션에 대해 접힐 수 있게 결합되는 시트 쿠션과 시트 쿠션의 후단에 접힐 수 있게 결합되는 시트 백과 시트백 후면에 돌출되어 운전석의 운전자가 팔을 올려놓을 수 있는 암 레스트를 가지는 중간석을 포함한다.

Description

자동차용 전열 시트 조립체{Front Seat Assembly for a Vehicle}
본 발명은 3인이 탑승할 수 있는 레크리에이션 자동차(RV; Recreational Vehicle)용 전열 시트 조립체에 관한 것이고, 더 구체적으로는 중간석의 시트 백에 운전자용 암 레스트가 일체로 형성된 전열 시트 조립체에 관한 것이다.
주지된 바와 같이, 자동차의 시트는 자동차의 실내에서 탑승자의 신체를 유지하는 부품이다. 이러한 시트는 크게 탑승자의 하체를 지지하는 시트 쿠션과 탑승자의 등을 지지하는 시트 백 및 탑승자의 머리를 지지하는 헤드 레스트를 포함하고 있다. 경우에 따라서는 탑승자의 팔을 올려놓기 위한 암 레스트를 포함한다.
도 1은 이러한 자동차 시트의 일 예, 구체적으로는 3열로 배열된 알브이 자동차의 시트를 도시한다. 도시된 바와 같이, 알브이 자동차의 시트는 전열 시트 조립체(1)와, 제 1 후열 시트 조립체(2) 및 제 2 후열 시트 조립체(3)를 포함하고 있다.
전열 시트 조립체(1)와 제 1 후열 시트 조립체(2)는 실내의 양측 가장자리에 각각 설치되는 좌, 우측석(12, 14, 22, 24)과 좌, 우측석(12, 14, 22, 24)의 중간에 설치되는 중간석(16, 26)으로 이루어져 있으며, 제 2 후열 시트 조립체(3)는 실내의 일측 가장자리로부터 타측 가장자리까지 일체로 길게 형성되어 있다. 전열 시트 조립체(1)와 제 1 후열 시트(2)의 좌, 우측석 및 제 2 후열 시트 조립체(3)는 각각 탑승객의 머리를 지지하기 위한 헤드 레스트가 시트 백의 상측에 설치되어 있다.
전열 시트 조립체(1)의 중간석(16)은 시트 쿠션(17)이 (탑승자를 기준으로 했을 때) 우측석(12, 조수석)의 시트 쿠션에 접힐 수 있게 설치되어 있으며, 시트 백(18)은 시트 쿠션(17)에 대해 접힐 수 있게 설치되어 있다. 이에 따라, 전열 시트 조립체의 중간석(16)은 우측석(12)의 좌측에 시트 백(18)과 시트 쿠션(17)이 모두 접힌 상태로 유지되며, 필요할 경우에 시트 백(18)과 시트 쿠션(17)을 편 다음 승객이 탑승할 수 있다.
전열 시트 조립체(1)의 경우, 좌측석(14), 즉 운전석의 시트 백 우측에 운전자의 오른팔을 올려놓을 수 있는 암 레스트(15)가 그 하단을 중심으로 회전가능하게 설치되어 있다. 이 암 레스트(15)는 사용하지 않을 경우 운전석 시트 백의 우측에 세워진 상태로 유지되며, 이 때문에 중간석(16)의 시트 백(18)은 암 레스트(15)의 폭 만큼 좌측 부분이 들어간 상태로 형성된다.
상기와 같이, 전열 시트 조립체의 운전석에 암 레스트가 설치됨으로 인하여 중간석에 승객이 탑승하면 승객의 신체가 암 레스트에 간섭되어 불편함을 느낄 수 있기 때문에 실제로 중간석에 탑승객이 탑승한 경우에 운전석의 암 레스트는 사용되지 않는 경우가 많다.
그럼에도 불구하고, 암 레스트를 수용하기 위해 중간석 시트 백의 폭이 좁아짐으로써, 탑승객의 불편함이 가중될 수 있다. 더욱이 중간석의 폭이 좁기 때문에 중간석 시트 백에는 좌, 우측석에 설치된 것과 같은 헤드 레스트를 설치할 수 없어, 중간석에 탑승한 승객이 불안감을 느낄 수 있으며 특히 유사시 위험한 상황이 발생될 수 있다.
본 발명은, 상기와 같은 점을 감안하여 안출된 것으로서, 중간석의 폭을 줄이지 않고도 운전석용 암 레스트를 제공할 수 있는 자동차용 전열 시트 조립체를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
상기의 목적은, 자동차 실내의 전측부에 소정 간격을 두고 설치되며, 탑승자의 하체를 받치는 시트 쿠션과 상기 시트 쿠션의 후단에 세워져 탑승자의 등을 지지하는 시트 백을 각각 가지는 운전석과 조수석; 및 운전석과 조수석 사이에 설치되며, 조수석의 시트 쿠션에 대해 접힐 수 있게 결합되는 시트 쿠션과 시트 쿠션의 후단에 접힐 수 있게 결합되는 시트 백과 시트백 후면에 돌출되어 운전석의 운전자가 팔을 올려놓을 수 있는 암 레스트를 가지는 중간석을 포함하는 본 발명에 따른 자동차용 전열 시트 조립체에 의해 달성된다.
바람직하게는, 중간석은 시트 백의 상단에 설치되어 탑승자의 머리를 받치는 헤드 레스트를 가진다. 또한 바람직하게는, 중간석은 시트 백 후면의 조수석측에 돌출되어 조수석 탑승자가 팔을 올려놓을 수 있는 조수석용 암 레스트를 더 가질 수도 있다.
이하, 첨부된 도면들을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 상세하게 설명한다.
도 2와 도 3은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전열 시트 조립체를 도시한 것으로서, 도 2는 중간석(130)의 시트 백(134)만 접은 상태를 나타낸 것이고, 도 3은 중간석(130)의 시트 백(134)을 편 상태를 나타낸 것이다.
도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전열 시트 조립체는 좌측의 운전석(120), 우측의 조수석(110), 중간석(130)으로 이루어져 있다. 운전석(120)과 조수석(110)은 각각 차체의 플로어 패널에 설치되고 탑승자의 하체를 받치는 시트 쿠션(122, 112)과, 시트 쿠션(122, 112)의 후단에 세워져 탑승자의 등을 받치는 시트 백(124, 114) 및 시트 백(124, 114)의 상측에 설치되어 탑승자의 머리를 받치는 헤드 레스트(126, 116)를 가진다.
중간석(130)은 운전석(120)과 조수석(110) 사이에 설치되며, 시트 쿠션(132)과 시트 백(134) 및 헤드 레스트(136)를 가진다. 중간석(130)의 시트 쿠션(132)은 조수석(110)의 측부에 접힐 수 있게 결합되어 있다. 시트 백(134)은 시트 쿠션(132)의 후단에 접힐 수 있게 설치되어 있다.
도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 시트 백(134)의 후면에는 운전자의 팔을 올려놓을 수 있도록 암 레스트(135)가 형성되어 있다. 바람직하게는, 암 레스트(135)는 시트 백(134)과 일체로 형성된다. 더 바람직하게는, 조수석 탑승자도 팔을 올려놓을 수 있도록 중간석 시트 백(134)의 후면에 조수석 탑승자용 암 레스트(미도시)가 형성될 수도 있다.
이에 따라, 상술한 종래의 전열 시트 조립체와 달리 운전석(120)에 암 레스트를 설치하지 않아도 된다. 그 결과, 중간석 시트 백(134)의 폭이 넓어질 수 있으며, 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 중간석 시트 백(134)의 상측에 운전석(120)과 조수석(110)에 설치된 것과 동일한 헤드 레스트(136)가 설치될 수 있다.
이러한 구성을 가지는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전열 시트 조립체는 중간석(130)에 탑승자가 없을 경우, 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 시트 쿠션(132)은 펴지고 시트 백(134)은 접힌 상태로 유지된다. 이 상태에서 운전자(및 조수석 탑승자)는 중간석 시트 백(134)의 후면에 형성된 암 레스트(135)에 팔을 올려놓을 수 있다. 중간석(135)에 승객이 탑승할 경우에는, 도 3과 같이 시트 백(134)이 펼쳐진 상태로 이용된다. 이 경우, 운전석(120)에 암 레스트가 없어 중간석 시트 백(134)의 폭이 넓은데다 중간석 시트 백(134)에 헤드 레스트(136)까지 설치되어 있기 때문에 중간석 탑승자는 안정되고 편안하게 탑승할 수 있다.
상기된 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 자동차의 프론트 시트 조립체는 운전석용 암 레스트가 중간석 시트 백의 후면에 형성되어 있다. 따라서, 중간석 시트 백의 폭을 넓힐 수 었고 그로 인해 중간석에도 헤드 레스트를 설치할 수 있기 때문에 중간석 탑승자의 승차감이 향상될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 중간석의 안전성도 크게 향상될 수 있다.
이상에서는, 본 발명을 특정의 바람직한 실시예에 대해서 도시하고 설명하였다. 그러나, 본 발명은 상술한 실시예에만 한정되는 것은 아니며, 본 발명이 반드시 프론트 시트에 한정되지 않고 제 2 열 시트에도 적용될 수 있는 등과 같이, 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자라면 이하의 특허청구범위에 기재된 본 발명의 기술적 사상의 요지를 벗어남이 없이 얼마든지 다양하게 변경실시할 수 있을 것이다.

Claims (3)

  1. 자동차 실내의 전측부에 소정 간격을 두고 설치되며, 탑승자의 하체를 받치는 시트 쿠션과 상기 시트 쿠션의 후단에 세워져 탑승자의 등을 지지하는 시트 백을 각각 가지는 운전석과 조수석; 및
    상기 운전석과 조수석 사이에 설치되며, 조수석의 시트 쿠션에 대해 접힐 수 있게 결합되는 시트 쿠션과 상기 시트 쿠션의 후단에 접힐 수 있게 결합되는 시트 백과 상기 시트백 후면의 운전석측 및 조수석측에 각각 일체로 돌출되어 상기 운전석의 운전자 및 조수석의 탑승자가 팔을 올려놓을 수 있는 암 레스트를 가지는 중간석을 포함하는 자동차용 프론트 시트 조립체.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 중간석은 시트 백의 상단에 설치되어 탑승자의 머리를 받치는 헤드 레스트를 더 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차용 프론트 시트 조립체.
