本発明に係る真空RTM成形方法は、例えば図1に示すように行われる。図1に示す方法においては、成形型1上に、強化繊維基材が所定の形状に賦形されたプリフォーム2が配置され、その一面上に全面にわたって、本実施態様では離型用のピールプライ3を介して樹脂拡散媒体4が配置される。樹脂拡散媒体4には、強化繊維基材よりも樹脂流動抵抗の低い材料が選択される。これら全体が、バッグ材としてのバッグフィルム5で覆われ、周囲がシール材6を介してシールされる。バッグフィルム5で覆われた内部が、吸引口7を介しての真空吸引により減圧され、減圧後に、樹脂注入口8を介して樹脂が注入される。注入された樹脂は、先ず、実質的に流動抵抗の低い材料からなる樹脂拡散媒体4の面内方向に拡散され、しかる後に、樹脂拡散媒体4から強化繊維基材のプリフォーム2の厚み方向に含浸されていく。勿論、樹脂拡散媒体4内での拡散中にも、多少の樹脂はプリフォーム2に含浸されていくが、樹脂拡散媒体4内での拡散速度の方がプリフォーム2への含浸速度に比べてはるかに高いため、実質的にこのような樹脂流動形態となる。

東レ株式会社製炭素繊維T700S(PAN系炭素繊維)で構成される1方向強化繊維層2層をステッチ編みした多軸織物(東レ株式会社製、品名:MK8260−JN、1層当たりの目付:300g/m2 )を、幅400mm×長さ800mmの大きさに8枚切断し、さらに、幅400mm×長さ400mmの大きさに8枚切断した。次に、金型の上に、400mm×800mmの炭素繊維織物を8枚積層した後、400mm×400mmの炭素繊維織物を8枚積層して、図2の如く、厚みが異なる部分が存在する、強化繊維プリフォーム11を用意した。
実施例1と同じように、図2の如く、厚みが異なる部分が存在する、強化繊維プリフォーム11を用意した。次に、樹脂拡散媒体12として、幅400mm×長さ800mmの大きさのポリプロピレン製のメッシュ材(東京ポリマー社製TSX−400P)を1枚準備した。
Claims (10)
- 強化繊維基材の一面上に樹脂拡散媒体を配置し、全体をバッグ材で覆ってバッグ材内部を減圧し、樹脂を前記樹脂拡散媒体に注入して実質的に面内方向に拡散させた後前記強化繊維基材の厚み方向に含浸させる真空RTM成形方法において、前記強化繊維基材の一面に沿う方向における強化繊維基材の各樹脂含浸部間の目付または密度の差に対応させて、あるいは、前記強化繊維基材の各樹脂含浸部間の、前記強化繊維基材の一面に沿う方向における樹脂含浸開始部から樹脂含浸完了部までの長さの差に対応させて、前記樹脂拡散媒体自体の樹脂拡散の際の流動抵抗を、前記強化繊維基材の面内方向に変化させることを特徴とする真空RTM成形方法。
- 前記樹脂拡散媒体を、複数の樹脂拡散媒体を積層して形成し、前記流動抵抗を、前記樹脂拡散媒体の積層枚数を強化繊維基材の面内方向に変化させることにより変化させる、請求項1に記載の真空RTM成形方法。
- 前記流動抵抗を、前記樹脂拡散媒体の空隙率を強化繊維基材の面内方向に変化させることにより変化させる、請求項1に記載の真空RTM成形方法。
- 前記流動抵抗の最大値と最小値の間に1.2倍以上の差を持たせる、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の真空RTM成形方法。
- 前記強化繊維基材の厚みが該強化繊維基材の面内方向に変化している、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の真空RTM成形方法。
- 前記強化繊維基材の厚みの最大値が最小値の1.5倍以上である、請求項5に記載の真空RTM成形方法。
- 前記強化繊維基材の密度が該強化繊維基材の面内方向に変化している、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の真空RTM成形方法。
- 前記強化繊維基材が、炭素繊維からなる強化繊維糸条群と、該強化繊維糸条群と交差する方向の補助繊維糸条群から構成されている一方向性の織物である、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の真空RTM成形方法。
- 樹脂が前記樹脂拡散媒体に樹脂注入ラインを介して注入され、該樹脂注入ラインに対して垂直方向の前記強化繊維基材の長さが該強化繊維基材の面内方向に変化している、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の真空RTM成形方法。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の真空RTM成形方法により強化繊維基材に樹脂を含浸させる工程を有する、繊維強化樹脂成形品の製造方法。
