Abstract
Description
第1のマグネシウム含有物質であるタルクと、表1に示す第2のマグネシウム含有物質(第2のMg源)とを、第2のMg源の含有割合がタルクと第2のMg源との合計量に対して表1に示すそれぞれの値(第2のMg源の割合(質量%))となるように混合した。使用した第2のMg源の平均粒子径(粒径)(μm)は表1に示す通りである。これに、カオリン、アルミナ、水酸化アルミニウム及びシリカを加えてコージェライト形成材料(成形用調合物)を調製した。コージェライト形成材料は、焼成するとコージェライトとなるような組成の原料(材料)である。平均粒子径は、レーザー回折散乱法(JIS R 1629に準拠)により測定した値である。
第1のマグネシウム含有物質であるタルクと、表1に示す第2のマグネシウム含有物質(第2のMg源)とを、第2のMg源の含有割合がタルクと第2のMg源との合計量に対して表1に示すそれぞれの値(第2のMg源の割合(質量%))となるように混合した。使用した第2のMg源の平均粒子径(μm)は表1に示す通りである。これに、カオリン、アルミナ、水酸化アルミニウム及びシリカを加えてコージェライト形成材料(成形用調合物)を調製した。
第1のマグネシウム含有物質であるタルクに、カオリン、アルミナ、水酸化アルミニウム及びシリカを加えてコージェライト形成材料(成形用調合物)を調製した(第2のマグネシウム含有物質は使用しなかった。)。
Claims (7)
- コージェライト形成材料からなる成形用調合物と有機バインダとを含有する坏土をハニカム形状に成形してハニカム成形体を作製し、前記ハニカム成形体を焼成してハニカム構造体を得るハニカム構造体の製造方法であって、
前記成形用調合物が、少なくともタルク(第1のマグネシウム含有物質)を含む2種以上のマグネシウム含有物質を含有し、
前記マグネシウム含有物質の中で、タルク以外のマグネシウム含有物質(第2のマグネシウム含有物質)の平均粒子径が4μm以下であるハニカム構造体の製造方法。 - 前記有機バインダの含有率が前記成形用調合物全体に対して3質量%以下である請求項1に記載のハニカム構造体の製造方法。
- 前記成形用調合物中に、前記第2のマグネシウム含有物質が、前記第1のマグネシウム含有物質と前記第2のマグネシウム含有物質との合計量に対して、40質量%以下含有される請求項1又は2に記載のハニカム構造体の製造方法。
- 前記第2のマグネシウム含有物質が、水酸化マグネシウム、酸化マグネシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、タルク以外のマグネシウム珪酸塩及びマグネシウムアルミン酸塩からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のハニカム構造体の製造方法。
- 前記成形用調合物中に、カオリン、アルミナ、水酸化アルミニウム及びシリカが含有される請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のハニカム構造体の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のハニカム構造体の製造方法によって得られるハニカム構造体。
- 熱膨張係数が1.7×10-6K-1以下である請求項6に記載のハニカム構造体。
