Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve working accuracy and working efficiency by working a square column flat part by linear motion of a working torch and driving the working torch on a cross arm along with rotation of a square column to work a corner part. CONSTITUTION:Devices 8-11 to rotate the square column 7 and rotation supporting devices 13-15 for the column 7 are arranged respectively. The cross arm 21 is provided in the orthogonal direction to an axis of the square column 7 and the cutting and welding torch 18 is arranged drivably along the cross arm 21. A working line of the column 7 is made to two kinds of working modes of the flat part and the corner part and the flat part is worked by the linear constant speed motion of the torch 18 and the corner part is worked by composite motion of the torch 18 driven on the cross arm 21 with the rotation of the square column 7. By this method, the torch 18 is always maintained vertically and the constant-speed cutting and welding can be performed and the working accuracy and working efficiency are improved.
