Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of high voltage slip rings or transformers and to achieve cost reduction and structural simplification, by providing the focus change-over means of a radiation irradiation source on the side of the radiation irradiation source. CONSTITUTION:When X-rays are allowed to irradiate an object to be examined from an X-ray tube 2, a focus change-over means 7 is changed at first so as to connect an input terminal 7A to an output terminal 7C to bring a high voltage power source part 1 to an ON-state. Whereupon, high voltage is applied to an anode from the anode terminal of the high voltage power source 1 through a high voltage slip ring 6A and a cathode 4A becomes a current supply state by a closed circuit connecting the common terminal 5A of the transformer 8 excited by the cathode heating circuit 23 of a cathode driving circuit 5, a high voltage slip ring 6B, the cathode 4A, the output terminal 7C and input terminal 7A of the focus change-over means 7, a high voltage slip ring 6C and a change-over output terminal 5B and, by this constitution, the X-ray tube 2 emits X-rays in a state forming a large focus.
