Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a small-type X-ray tube of a low price, by constituting said X-ray tube so that a large current flows in a short period of time by means of a small-type high-voltage transformer. CONSTITUTION:Tetrodes 5 and 6 acting as a high-voltage controlling element are connected between the both ends of high-voltage condensers 2 and 8 which are connected to the secondary side of a high-voltage transformer and the interval of the anode and cathode of the X-ray tube 7. Before X-ray radiation, the primary side of the high-voltage transformer is closed, and the high-voltage condensers 2 and 3 are sufficiently charged. The primary side of the high-voltage transformer 1 is closed in accordance with X-ray radiation signal, while, at the same time, a standard voltage is applied to a tube-voltage controlling circuits 9a and 9b. By utilizing the charged electric charges of the high-voltage condensers 2 and 3, these stored charges are discharged through the anode and cathode when X-rays is radiated, therefore, even the small-type high-voltage transformer is used, a large current can be applied to the X-ray tube 7.
