Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling effect of a condensor and reduce the heat transmission area thereof in a steam prime mover plant using LNG as fuel by effectively utilizing cooling heat generated by evaporated LNG and heat- exchanging the cooling heat and condensor cooling seawater. CONSTITUTION:LNG which is stored in an LNG tank 21 at the extremely low temperature is carried into an LNG carburetor 22 via a liquefied natural gas pipe 24. LNG in the LNG evaporator 22 is heated with seawater supplied through a seawater supply pipe 27 via a seawater pump 26. Resulting gasified LNG is sent to both a steam generator 1 and an LNG boiling plant 29 via a natural gas pipe 25 and burnt therein. At this time, a part of seawater cooled when it is heat-exchanged with cooling heat generated by the gasified LNG is sent to a carburetor 3 via a cooling water supply pipe 8 by a circulating water pump 7 to cool the carburetor 3. The other part of seawater is discharged to a discharge channel via a seawater return pipe 28.
