Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower the resistance of a transparent electrode and to reduce the thickness thereof by forming a thin metallic film layer into a 3-layered structure consisting of an adhesive metallic layer having adhesion to the transparent electrode, an intermediate metallic layer consisting of aluminum or aluminum alloy and a top metal having good solderability. CONSTITUTION:A color filter 16 formed by a dyeing method, an over coating layer 17 which is a gelatin layer, a silicon dioxide layer 11, the transparent electrode 12 and further, the thin metallic film layer 20 are laminated on a glass substrate 10. The thin metallic film layer 20 is constituted of the 3-layers; the adhesive metallic layer 13 consisting of Cr, the intermediate metallic layer 14 consisting of Al, and the top metallic layer 15 consisting of Ni. Namely, the aluminum which has the effect of preventing diffusion to Sn and good conductivity is inserted as the intermediate metal between the adhesive metallic layer 13 and the top metallic layer 15, the degradation in the adhesive strength of the solder by the diffusion of Sn into Ni is suppressed. The resistance of the transparent electrode is thereby lowered and the thickness thereof is reduced.
