Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a coated film having high smoothness even with a thick film by using such a paint with which a sag is generated only by the heating effect of a baking process and baking the paint while rotating a material to be coated around the horizontal axial line. CONSTITUTION:Spraying of the paint in the painting stage P2 is executed in such a manner that the coated film attains, for example, 100mum thickness above the sag threshold. A powder paint, thermosetting paint adjusted in the content of a sag preventive agent, viscosity, etc., are usable as the paint to be used. The material to be coated after the painting is rapidly transferred to a baking stage P3 and is rotated around the axial center of rotation extending in a horizontal direction. The paint is baked while the material to be coated is kept rotated only during the time when the paint has fluidity in about 150 deg.C temp. atmosphere. The direction and speed of the rotation of the material to be coated are set in such a range where the sag speed of the paint is kept <=2mm per minute which is a permissible range.
