Abstract
PURPOSE: To form smooth films by coating paint mixed with inorg. type particles on the inside surface of a rotating metallic pipe and filling the inorg. particles in the microrecesses of the inside surface of the pipe by rotating centrifugal forces.
CONSTITUTION: A cast iron pipe heated to about 180W200°C is rotated on turning rollers, and resin paint compounded with inorg. type particles (b) is coated on the inside surface on the pipe by, for example, a spray method. The particles (b) are separated by rotating centrifugal forces and enter pinholes (c), thereby thoroughly filling the same. As a film (a) sets, the particles are fixed by the stuck paint. Thereby, the surface of the film (a) is smoothed. The particles (b) are about 14W 20 in bulk density and about 60W100 meshes in grain size, for which, for example, silica powder is used. The resin paint: the particles (b) are about 1:1W5, the peripheral speeds of revolution of the metallic pipe about 0.5W4m/sec, coating time about 1W5min and the thickness of the film about 1W2mm.
