Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct defocusing quantity and to execute automatic focusing control at high speed by setting the error quantity of the defocusing quantity caused by the relation between the positions of a line sensor as a focus detecting means and a fine lens group and incorporating the set output in a control means so that correction arithmetic processing is performed. CONSTITUTION:A correction coefficient setting circuit 80, where the correction quantity of the error of the defocusing quantity caused by the variance of dimensions which specifies the mutual relation of the positions among the CCD line sensor 42 of two systems for detecting the focusing position, a focus lens group 2 and a compensator lens group 6, etc., is set, is connected to the focus controller 78 which is an automatic focusing controller. Moreover, a controller 80 which transmits and receives various kinds of data is connected to the circuit 78, which incorporates the set error correction coefficient from the circuit 80 and drives a DC motor 52 so that the sensor 42 is within an allowable stable action range. And it automatically corrects the focusing error of the focus and precisely executes the automatic focusing of the focus lens of a camera.
