Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable mirror finish of a three-dimensional curved metal face without sacrifice of quality by setting peak current density of pulses to be fed between a three-dimensional work and an electrode in the range of 30-50A/cm<2> and turn ON time in the range of 2-10mS. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 3 is lowered to face the electrode face 3a through a predetermined gap with a machining face 2a of a work made of special steel, and under static state of electrolyte D, pulse current having peak density of 30-50A/cm<2> and turn ON time of 2-10mS is fed from a power source equipment based on a control signal fed from a machining condition control section 9. After pulse currents are fed by predetermined times, the electrode 3 is lifted temporarily through a motor 18 based on a signal fed from a motor drive control section 8, then a solenoid valve 125 of an electrolyte filter 13 is operated to remove electrolytic produce thereafter the electrode 3 is lowered. The operation is repeated to finish the surface of work highly accurately in short time so as to obtain a mirror face without sacrifice of thermal processing quality.
