Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance safety of operation by computing a theoretical output value from a turbine according to the pressure/temperature of main steam and the lift of a sub-valve, and detecting corrosion on the valve element of the sub-valve according to the comparison between the theoretical and an actual output value. CONSTITUTION:A turbine 6 connected to a generator 7 and a condenser 9 equipped with a cooling system 8 are connected to the downstream side from a boiler 1 so as to form a close loop. In the aforesaid constitution, a pressure/ temperature detector 12 is placed between a strainer 3 and a main steam stop valve 4 in a main steam pipe 2. At the same time, the main steam stop valve 4 is provided with a lift detector 13, and detection signals 20, 21 are respectively input to a turbine theoretical output arithmetic unit 14. Also, a turbine theoretical output signal 18 from said arithmetic unit 14 is input to an output comparison arithmetic unit 15 together with a detection signal 19 from a turbine output detector 16. Then said arithmetic unit 15 compares respective signals 18, 19, with each other and when predetermined conditions are satisfied, an alarm 17 is given.
