Abstract
PURPOSE:To save energy and to recover clean water from the water in sewage by treating the water and sludge components in the sewage within the same system and effectively recovering and utilizing the heat generated at the time of the treatment within the system. CONSTITUTION:Waste water which is an original liquid is preheated by a heat exchanger 2 in a storage tank 1 and is then sent to an evaporator 3 where the waste is heated and evaporated by heat pipes 4. The water and the volatile component which is org. matter are evaporated to vapor and the remaining liquid is thickened to the thick sludge. While the thick sludge is kept stirred, the sludge is sent by a screw conveyor 6 to an incineration furnace 7 where the sludge is burned. On the other hand, the vapor generated in the evaporator 3 is heated in a heat exchanger 11 and is then fed into a heating chamber 13 kept at a high temp., where the org. components in the vapor are burned. The cleaned vapor passes the tube inside of the heat exchanger 11 and is subjected to a heat exchange in the evaporator 3 and the storage tank 1 from which the steam is sent to a cleaned water tank 14.
