Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the rupture of a ribbon to be wound by providing a storing device and the suction nozzle for tension control between the suction nozzle caching the ribbon solidified by rapid cooling and that inducing the ribbon to a winding drum. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal 4 becomes of an amorphous metal ribbon 5 by rapidly cooling on the outer peripheral face of a cooling roll 1. The tip of the ribbon 5 is sucked to the nozzle 7 for induction, passing through a storing device 10 and nozzle 8 and is sucked to a nozzle 9 further. When a winding drum 6 is ascended to the position where it is brought into contact with the ribbon 5, a compressed air is led to the nozzle 8 to give a proper tension to the ribbon 5 between nozzles 8, 9 and the ribbon 5 is wound and fixed to the drum 6. The ribbon 5 is temporarily stored inside the storing device 10 until the winding drum 6 reaches the specified number of revolutions and simultaneously a proper tension is given to the ribbon 5 between the nozzle 8 and winding roll 6. Consequently the looseness of the ribbon 5 on the way of winding is prevented and the winding having no generation of rupture due to the generation of an abnormal tension can be performed.
