Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain hydrogen gas at low cost by mixing aluminum and calcined dolomite slurried with water. CONSTITUTION:A calcined dolomite prepared by calcination of dolomite are at ca. 1,200 deg.C is slurried with water followed by mixing with aluminum and stirring slowly to generate hydrogen gas. And the residue after the reaction is dried to remove the water contained to obtain a heat-resistant material useful as a ceramic or far-infrared-emitting material.
