Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep off any oil leakage from a shaft seal part of an input shaft by installing an axial fan as a cooling fan, in case of an air-cooled transmission that attached the cooling fan for forced-air cooling to an end of the input shaft. CONSTITUTION:With the rotation of an input shaft 1, an axial fan 14 is rotated together and thereby a wind is produced there. The wind being produced by rotation of the axial fan 14 flows in the axial direction, while a wind exerting an influence on a shaft seal part 13 installed in an end of the input shaft 1 will occur in a flowing direction toward this shaft seal part 13. Consequently, the wind being produced by the axial fan 14 works to check lubricating oil flowing out from the shaft seal part 13, therefore any oil leakage out of the shaft seal part 13 is preventable.
