Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of an oxidized wear inside a casting nozzle by fitting a ceramic to the casting nozzle inner face part from the end part of the fitting side of the molten metal container of the casting nozzle to the part where a nonferrous metal completes its solidification inside the casting nozzle. CONSTITUTION:In case of pulling out the nonferrous metal solidified by a casting nozzle 1 a ceramic cylindrical body 7 is provided in step by fitting it to the inner face part of the nozzle 1 of up to the part where the nonferrous metal completes its solidification inside the nozzle 1 from the end of the molten metal container fitting side. The thickness of the ceramic cylindrical body 7 is taken about 2/5-1/2 the thickness of a nozzle main body 6, composed of the Si3N4-BN ceramics contg. about 30% BN and the nozzle main body 6 is taken of a graphite material. The service life of the casting nozzle 1 is thus extended and the safety and productivity are improved.
