Abstract

PURPOSE:To alleviate deformation of a bellows and extend the life thereof by soldering and heating, when both ends of the bellows are to be soldered to a ceramic sleeve and to a through conductor, by fixing both ends of the bellows with a fixing device and in a heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:When a ceramic bushing 1 is soldered in a heating furnace, a fixing device 15 made of carbon or the like is attached to sealing pieces 8, 9 on both ends of a bellows 7. The attachment is performed by fitting both ends of the fixing device 15 into recesses of the sealing pieces 8, 9. The double- sealed type ceramic bushing 1 in such a condition is put in a heating furnace. The inside of the furnace is made to a deoxidating atmosphere such as of hydrogen and the temperature thereof is raised above the melting temperature of solder 5, 10, 11. Performing the heating and soldering in this way in the heating furnace by fixing both ends of the bellows 7 with the fixing device 15, thermal stresses due to difference in coefficients of linear expansion between a ceramic sleeve 2 and a through conductor 3 is prevented from being exerted on the bellows 7.
