Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size the weigh of the titled power unit and to simplify its handling by integrating a gas system part with an actuator drive part to form a drive unit and forming a power source conversion part and a cooling part to independent units respectively and constituting each unit separably. CONSTITUTION:The power source conversion unit 1, the drive unit 2 and the cooling unit 3 for the titled power source for the plasma welding are formed independently respectively and the drive unit 2 and the cooling unit 3 are arranged separably on the upper part of the power source conversion unit 1 and on the side parts of the power source conversion unit 1 and the drive unit 2 stretching over both of them respectively. Welding conditions are transmitted from a controller 4 to the drive unit 2 by a control cable 9 and further, transmitted to the power source conversion unit 2, through a connecting cable 13 too. Then, a welding current, the plasma gas quantity, the welding speed, etc., to a welding head 5 are outputted through a power cable hose 14 and the welding is performed. Cooling water cools the welding head 5 by cooling water hoses 16 via the power cable hose 14 and returns.
