Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a pressure roller from being deformed permanently by giving rotation to a fixing roller and the pressure roller except for n-rotation at preset intervals when image forming is dormant. CONSTITUTION:When a command of actions is inputted before a set time passes, a CPU 15a stops counting a timer counter 15b, and executes an image forming sequence. When a counted value reaches a prescribed time without said command inputted, the counter 15b interrupts the CPU 15a. On receiving said instruction through an I/O port 15c, a motor driver 16 operates a rotating means 8, and rotates the fixing roller 1 and the pressurizing roller 4. At that time, the CPU 15a reads periods stored in a ROM 15a and corresponding to any turns apart from n-turns of the rollers 1 and 4, and outputs action signals during that period, thereby giving rotation to the rollers 1 and 4 except for n-rotation. Thus, a pressurizing point can be shifted appropriately, and therefore the permanent deformation of the roller 4 can be prevented.
