Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove CO2 efficiently from modified hydrocarbon gas by carrying out the adsorption process to adsorb and remove CO2 by feeding modified hydrocarbon gas to an adsorption column, the pressure equalizing process, exhausting process, the washing and cleaning process with refined gas, the pressure equalizing process and the pressuring process with refined gas in order one by one. CONSTITUTION:Starting gas 25 constituted of hydrocarbon modified gas is fed to an adsorption column A to adsorb and remove CO2 and the refined gas constituted of CH4 is flowed out and stored in a tank 41. Then, the adsorption column A is pressure equalized with an adsorption column C through valves 16, 5, 15 and 18, and the pressure of adsorption column A is reduced by a vacuum pump 51 to desorb CO2. Next, the adsorption column A is washed and cleaned in counter current by part of the refined gas exhausted out of the adsorption column B, and further pressure equalization is carried out between the adsorption column A and the adsorption column B. Lastly, part of the gas from an adsorption column C is introduced to the adsorption column A through valves 20, 5 and 16 and pressurized. Said respective processes are repeated in the adsorption columns A-C in order one by one.
