Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and durability by forming on a conductive substrate a photosensitive layer containing a specified hydrazone compound. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer formed on the conductive substrate contains as an electric charge transfer material at least one of the hydrazone compounds represented by formulae I and II in which each of Ar1, Ar2, Ar4, and Ar5 is optionally substituted phenylene or naphthylene; each of Ar3 and Ar6 is optionally substituted phenyl or naphthyl; and each of R1-R26 is H, halogen, alkyl, or alkoxy, thus permitting sensitivity and durability to be enhanced.
