Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a capacity for holding a peak value by inputting complementary signals to two differential circuits, and delaying the output signal of one differential circuit and ORing it with the output of the other differential circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input digital signal is inputted to a complementary signal generating circuit 32 to generate the complementary signals which are in phase with and opposite in phase from the input digital signal. The complementary signals are inputted to the 1st and 2nd differential circuits 33 and 34. A delay circuit 12 delays the phase of the output signal of the 2nd differential circuit 34, 186 deg. behind the phase of the output signal of the 1st differential circuit 33 and the delayed signal and the output signal of the 1st differential circuit 33 are inputted to an OR circuit 23 which high input-output linearity. Consequently, the output of the OR circuit 23 has no ripple component and an output signal is obtained which corresponds to the peak value of the input digital signal.
