Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of electric charging characteristics even at the time of repeated uses by using polyvinylpyrolidone for an interlayer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is formed by laminating on a conductive base body 1, for example, the interlayer 2 made of polyvinylpyrolidone represented by the formula, the photosensitive layer 3' composed of a charge transfer layer 5 and a charge generating layer 4. The layer 2 is formed by coating the base body 1 with a coating solution containing said polymer and methanol and water, or in addition, a prescribed binder, a conductive powder, such as SnO2, and/or a white pigment, such as ZnO, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be resistant in deterioration of charging characteristics and to form a good-quality image freed of deterioration of image density and background staining.
