Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to reduce the size and the weight of entire device by arranging a changeover valve in a conduit communicating between a reservoir and a hydraulic pump. CONSTITUTION:A two-port two-position solenoid changeover valve 19 is arranged in a conduit 18 communicating between a reservoir 11 and a hydraulic pump 21. When a brake is released, the changeover valve 19 is interrupted to discharge brake liquid from a wheel cylinder 8a to the reservoir 11 through a three-port three-position solenoid changeover valve 6 constituting a hydraulic control valve. When the brake is tightened, the changeover valve 19 is communicated and a hydraulic pump 23 sucks brake liquid from the reservoir 11 and feed the brake liquid as pressure liquid to a wheel cylinder 8a. Since a check valve having forward direction from an accumulator or a master cylinder 1 side toward the hydraulic pump 21 side is not employed, the size and the weight of the entire device can be reduced and the number of parts can be reduced.
