Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent nosedive at the time of braking by controlling release times of control valves for fluid supply and discharge at front and rear wheels according to the change rate of brake fluid pressures per unit time at the time of brake action. CONSTITUTION:Front and rear wheel suspension cylinders 1, 2 are connected via a plurality of fluid passages 5-7 to a hydraulic pump 4 which draws fluid from a fluid tank 3. The cylinders 1, 2 are also connected via a plurality of fluid passages 17-20 to a plurality of accumulators 22, 25, 27, 30. In case both the vehicle speed and the change rate of brake fluid pressure per unit time exceed respective set values, the release times of both front wheel fluid supply control valve 8 and rear wheel fluid discharge control valve 16 are controlled according to the change rate of the brake fluid pressure per unit time. In case both the vehicle speed and the brake fluid pressure change rate per unit time are respectively below the set values, a front wheel fluid discharge control valve 15 and a rear wheel fluid supply control valve 10 are opened.
